Radeon hd5450 compaq sr1810nx

Is the Radeon HD5450 a Video Graphics Card? If so just remove the power cord, open the case, then put the Redeon HD5450 into one of the open pci slots.

Hopefully you did your homework to make sure it will fit and is compatible with your compaq.

I have only 13 pictues on my camera and it says internal memory is full

Hi, You'll need to buy an SD card as camera's come with a very small internal memory and need to have more memory added in order to take more then, in this case, 13 pictures.

Why doesn't it take picture's when you push the button , it say insert memory card , memory is full

Sounds like one needs to delete the pictures on the internal memory in order to free up space or add an empty memory card.

I need to add space to my compaq presario desk top. i don't know how to on this computer. the model# SR5034X

If you want to increase cpu speed so you need to increase RAM memory.
You can fix it on motherbord of desktop cpu.
But if you have low space on disk storage partition so you can add space to desktop with 2 method.
(1) you can add harddisk to desktop cpu with sata or IDE .SATA harddisk is best if your motherbord support SATA.
You can add harddisk as you like for example 80 GB or 160 Gb.
(2) If you want to add RAM memory for speed reson you can purchase new RAm and fix it in memory module slot on motherbord.
There is 2 type on
RAM in currently.
DDR1 and DDR2

you can add RAM memory like 512 MB or 1GB or more.

Need to add RAM

Hello,

Located here is the actual specifications of your W3052.

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=W%20Series&model=W3052

The DDR means "double data rate", SDRAM is "synchronous dynamic random access memory" and DIMM is for "dual inline memory module". These are the way manufacturers describe the specific speed, type, and packaging of the memory. You need to get the correct combination for your computer in order for it to function properly. The PC2100 is NOT correct, at the very least it will slow your computer down, and possibly will not work at all. You should use PC2700.

If you wish to add another 512MB taking your computer to 1GB total, then you only need 1 module, a 512MB, like the one that came in the computer. Do not purchase a 1GB module expecting it to work properly with the one already there. It probably won't. If you want to max out your computer's memory taking it to 2GB, then you will need to purchase 2 each 1GB modules, and remove the existing 512MB module.

When you go to the computer store, you ask for either "one five-hundred-twelve megabyte, PC2700, DDR, SDRAM DIMM memory module" or "two one-gigabyte, PC2700, DDR, SDRAM DIMM memory modules".

The part numbers from, Kingston, one of the major add-on memory makers are shown here:

512MB = KVR333X64C25/512
1GB = KVR333X64C25/1G

internal memory is located inside your laptop. u need 2 open it from behind. but it is very risky for you to open it yourself you might damage some parts on your laptop.

Hard drive

jamesroland1,
You have a computer with a 40GB hard drive and you want to add another hard drive (150GB), is that correct? Not knowing the rest of your system age, setup and configuration makes it hard to know what you may encounter. If you can add more memory (RAM) it is always helpful to make applications work faster and multiple ones as well. You may want to add an external hard drive if you don't have the room or don't feel comfortable with opening the computer and installing an internal hard drive. If you want to replace the lower capacity drive, you need to reinstall the operating system on the drive and start from scratch.

Wont boot up

we need to open the case and inspect the cables and cards and memory to make sure nothing has gotten dislodged. heres how to get into the case.
Before Opening the PC
1
Remove any diskette or optical disc (CD or DVD)
from the PC.
2 Disconnect the modem/telephone cable, if present.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of personal
injury from electrical shock or hot
surfaces, disconnect the power cord from
the wall outlet, and allow the internal
system components to cool before
touching.
3
Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet
and then from the PC.
4 Disconnect all other attached cables (such as the
keyboard, mouse, and monitor) and all external
devices.
Removing the Side Panel
1
Remove the side panel by loosening the screw on
that secures the panel to the PC chassis.
2 Slide the panel back about 1 inch (2.5 cm), and
then lift it off the unit.
WARNING: Beware of sharp edge

Once the side panel is off you will see the computers internal parts. Follow all the cables from the power suppy (top rear of tower) to th devices on the other end and make sure all are COMPLETELY in the sockets. Now do the same with the rest of the ribbon cables.
Now check all add-in CARDS installed into slots on the main boardand make sure they are ALL the way into there slots, sometimes these gets jarred or bound by the case and will work thier way loose.
Last check the RAM, the small rectangular shaped sticks with chips on them installed into similar slots on the main board, these can be up just a tiny bit in thier slots and the computer will freeze.
While you have the case open take note of any burnt smells or apparent swollen parts (capacitors), fans not working (inside & out).
It could also be your power supply going out, ive seen em light up the light on the mainboard , but not have any power to the harddrive and lock a system up.
Go through these things , it might be these , it might be something else, but its good to know your computer is clean and all mechanics in it are working visually from time to time. i can of compressed dust remover spray goes a long way to clean out those dirty fans and heat syncs underneith them.

try this and post again ....

The power supply unit is bad. You will have to replace it. Also, it is custom specific ~ write down the specs of the PSU and order it from legendsmicro.com. This recently happened to me.
