Water comes out

posted by Nikkimom on Nov 19, 2007

My new crock pot shoots hot water out the side of the lid when I use it. I have used it twice and this has happened both times. Instead of the steamy water going back into the pot, it collects on the rim that the lid sits on and then starts shooting all over my counter. It has been doing this for the last 2 hour today. I have used a smaller crock pot for years and this has never happened. Does anyone know how to fix this, or did I just get a defective one?
