SOURCE: my machine is not draining

Hello,

Remove any kinks in the drain hose. Ensure that the washer is not sitting on the hose.

Inspect the household drain. Remove clogs, if possible. Call a plumber if you cannot remove the clogs.

Check the drain and make sure there is an air gap between the hose and drain. An air gap is necessary to prevent the drain hose from siphoning water.

Clean the pump filter. Open the pump access door. Turn the pump filter counter-clockwise and remove it. Remove dirt and debris. Replace the filter and close the pump access door.

Rearrange the clothing in the load. An unbalanced load can prevent the washer from spinning or draining.

Allow the washer to cool down for two hours. If the washer overheats, it will stop the motor and cool down before restarting.

Close the door completely. The washer will not operate if the door is not securely closed.

I hope the above helps.

Take care.

Hi, You need to inspect the filter. Its at the bottom in the front. Take a pan and place it under filter handle. Slowly turn it counterclockwise, water will start to come out. Empty pan when partly full. Repeat until no more water come out. Unscrew filter and remove. Clean, inspect cavity and replace. Hope this helps.

My washer will not start!!

Does the start/pause button flash and then the door unlocks? I had that problem too. This is what I did. I found the solution to clean the lint filter on the GE Adora. Go to http://www.instructables.com/id/GE-Adora-Lint-Filter-Cleanout/?download=pdf

I just did this and my washer is now running instead of the flashing start/pause and door unlocking. It was fairly easy. Make sure you have towels and a flat pan to catch the water if you don't have the machine on a riser. There may be water inside so a wet vac may be helpful too. Once my washer finishes what was in it, I have these funky towels to clean. You'll be very surprised what you find in the filter! Best of luck!

I have a GE WSSH300G0WW washer and it is doing the same thing except I can not go to any other cycle to get it to spin. The water is just sitting in the machine right now.
