Question about GPS
Re soldering the port is ok if the port it self is not damaged..they have A centering pin on the bottom and once they come loose for what ever reason, They shear that pin off, then theres Not much to keep them from moving again Because that pin on the originals Always break off. I also use a little hot glue To keep help keep it put Just As a precaution. The ones I sell, I haven't had any returned yet neither the ones I fixed or The ones the people put the port on themselves, I have however had to guys wanting me to fix there 4040 because they ripped the tracers off the board. (now there junk) I cant repair anything that has the tracers damaged, If I get one like that, I do not even try to fix it, because its beyond My capabilities. To answer your question I do sell the ports for 14.99 on ebay 12.99 off ebay shipping included And yes I do repair them but not if the tracers are damaged. I normally charge 45.00 to repair them and I pay the ship back but if you want me to do both of them And your going to pay shipping both ways. Ill do both for 80.00 I'm not trying to talk you out of anything but if you can solder half decent, I'm sure these would hold up for you, the hardest part is removing the old port without damaging the tracers
