Question about Craftsman 42 in. Deck 19.5hp Lawn Tractor
I bought a new manual transmission 19.5 horsepower craftsman lawntractor this spring. In gears four or higher when you let off the clutch the mower jerks and will actually pop a wheelie. There is a possibility that this thing could flip and land on top of you. Is there anyway to adjust the clutch to keep from doing this?
When you change the transmission, also change the drive belt?
One of the most often cause of transmission problems are the inadequate drive belt. The length should be the same as the manufacturer specification. Also the drive belt surface quality is very important. Keep in mind that the "clutch" is a simple mechanism that depends on the slipping belt feature and its right lenght. Frequenty users cange the belt and use an automotive type belt.
Let me know some news about your problem.
Have a grat day!
