My Dane-elec 8GB files are not working. When click the error message: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. How do I recover my files?

I would try a different card in the camera, and format it before using.....if that works then you may have to use some special software to retrieve the photos off the bad card if they are important to you....

If it shows problem for the hard disk, then nothing can be done.
If there is important data you need, you can try file recovery softwares. But I cannot say if it will work or not.
Could be a process issue stopping you deleting the files. Try downloading unlocker (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/) and see if this helps.
If not it might be an 8.3 naming convention issue. Go to DOS prompt to a "dir /x /a". Rename the file to less than 8 characters using the SHORT name only. Then try deleting the file.
from each computer:
right click on a .ini file, select 'open with...' choose notepad and select the box that says 'always use the selected program to ope this kind of file' click 'ok'
try formatting the device using the software - either rhapsody, Samsung Media Player or normal windows Media Player. That shoudl fix any naming errors. Then re-install the software.
