Yamaha psr 1000

Hi
I'm not sure I completely understand your problem but......it sounds like you might be in "Fingered On Bass" mode. This means if you play a chord like F using the notes FAC- if you play them in 2nd inversion (so the order is CFA) the psr-1000 will make the note "C" the bass note. In this mode if you played ACF then "A" would be in the bass part. Change to "Fingered Chord"-this will enable you to play any chord with the tonic (the name of the chord) F whether you play FAC, ACF or CFA in the bass part. I don't have access to a psr-1000 but often with Yamaha instruments this can be changed by pressing and holding the "Auto Accompaniment" button. I hope this helps.

Yamaha PSR 740 Volume knob crackles when turned and the sound cuts out when played at higher volume

There is dust in the sliding mechanism, which can be cleaned with a good electronic cleaner, which does not evaporate when drying. If that does not work, replace the volume potentiometer, the `part behind the knob.

Yamaha 88 key piano grand plays wrong pitches w/ changing volume

If it has a sequencer/ recorder built in, you have the ability to change the pitch/ detune by using some key strokes after initiating the program mode. If your not sure how to do that, try unplugging the keyboard for thirty seconds and push the power button while it's unplugged, then plug it back in. Any better? What model is it.
