Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Model 2610 All in one photosmart stopped. I started to print and the printer does not come on. The lights do not shine. All plugs are in the correct position. What gives? Printed on it yesterday no problem. Acts like a blown fuse.

Try plugging it into a different outlet. The outlet COULD be blown.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My photosmart 2610 keeps a list of all old jobs.

Actually, the list is not kept by the pc, but by the pc attached to it.
First of all, disconnect the USB cable from the 2610.
Go to Start > Run > type in "services.msc" without the quotes.
It will show a list of services, locate "Print Spooler services" from the list. Stop the service and Start it again.
Go to start > run > printers and faxes > right click on the printer icon and select "cancel all documents"
Connect the USB back. The printer should be turned ON.
Ideally the printer icon should have "0 ready" written under it.
If it does, you are good to go.

Photosmart 2610 with power on get Error 0x886a6916

0x error codes indicate that the product has an internal error. Try to reset the printer:

1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
5. Wait 60 seconds.
6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button
7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product
8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.
