Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Connecting 4 speakers

The microphone jack won't help you at all. It only accepts incoming sound, it doesn't play anything back.

The problem with using the headphone jack is that it puts out more current, since headphones aren't usually self powered. It's generally not good for the speakers to use the headphone jack for them.

And as your speakers did not all come as a single set, it's unlikely either set has output ports designed to plug additional speakers in.

So what you need is the stereo mini jack splitter, as electroguy mentioned. In case you don't know what we mean by that, here are a couple links to sites with two different versions:

http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=149749

http://www.dv247.com/invt/13646/

However, you probably can save money by buying it locally. For small items like that, shipping kills any savings you have online. I know Radio Shack sells them, but it's likely you can get them at any store that sells stereo equipment.

Once you have the splitter, just plug it in to the back of your computer, where your speakers are currently plugged in, and plug each set of speakers into one of the two ports on the splitter.

Hope that explains everything clearly.

Hi, Its a pretty easy fix of your handy with a soldering iron, just replace all of the caps near the power supply. Make sure you replace them with the same or higher voltage rating.

No sub woofer volume

Make sure Subwoofer power is on and connected with RCA cable in correct place.

Go into setup of "Speaker setup" and select 5.1 setup. Activate subwoofer to YES if setting is No.

On some Amps you need to select front speakers to SMALL even if you have large speakers to enabled subwoofer.

Want to connect pc speakers and subwoofer to lg37lc55 tv unfortunaly it doesnt have an earphone 3.5 connection point. My other smaller tv does, the speakers and subwoofer consist of a white and red audio...

Hello,
Your TV should have an AUDIO OUTPUT other than optic..at least " Headphones" output..
You can connect TV audio output with a RCA cable.
white and red audio jack....
since SUB has both RCA and "3,5mm Headphone female Jack"..here are the options;
** you need to buy a cable one end 3,5mm MALE headphone jack and the other end 2xRCA stereo (or 1x RCA for mono or you may need "Y cable " ) to be connected to your TV...
** or 2x RCA
white and red audio jack and connect from your TV..
**" "Headphones" output to SUB with 3,5 male-to-male cable ( the least recommended)
And you need to connect front, centre and rear speakers to your SUB as well...
Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up
for Helping out the Community :)

Hope this helps!

I have a new windows 7 laptop that I am trying to use my old yamaha MS55D speakers with, but it says there are no drivers. Please can you suggest where I might get the driver or what else I can try

PROBLEM SOLVED: YAMAHA YST-MS55D allows both USB and audio jack. On the back of your subwoof - find the USB ONLY area. Disconnect the USB cable from your sub and computer. Then use the other audio cable to link ur sub with the audio jack on your computer (the earphone plug). You don't need to change the other connections. Your Speaker will then function like an earphone, which means no drivers needed as it is not a USB device anymore.

Sound cable connection

Look more closely at your motherboard, for a 4-pin "PC Speaker" label.

The "HD Audio" is _OUTPUT_ (left front, sub-woofer, right front, left back, right back) to Surround Sound speakers.

I get no bass sound from sub-Woofer connected to Yamaha RX-V465

Check your speaker settings in Setup menu / Speaker Setup / Manual / Config (and then in this submenu also Equalizer).
In Config, choose where should low frequency sound go - subwoofer and/or front speakers (if they are big enough). The settings are: Bass Out: SWFR/Front/Both.
Also check Subwoofer phrase in SWFR Phase.
Check settings of all speakers, they can be Large / Small / None. If small, frequencies lower than "Crossover" settings, will not be put on them.

K9N6PGM2 motherboard cant get front audio micrphone and headphone sockets to work

In my case, it was solved by tweeking the sound utility, and not by touching anything in the computer:

  1. Make sure "Realtek Audio Manager" is installed (should come with the drivers)
  2. Start The "Realtek Audio Manager" (can do it by plugging earphones to the audio jack on the rear - the one the works)
  3. Look for the configuration tab - something like "Connector Settings"
  4. Set the "Disable front panel jack detection" checkbox
  5. Press [OK]
  6. Try again to connect the earphones to the front panel

How do i hook up a nintendo to my tv which cords go where and can someone walk me through it

Round peg into the round hole. Red peg on the red slot. etc. If the wire from the nintendo doesn't fit the slot on the tv then you're in the wrong slot. if the wire from the nintendo fits the slot on the tv (and is the same color if you are using red/white/yellow rca cables) then you're good. here's a hint on connection types (you will not mix): 1. RCA (red/white/yellow round connectors) Red=right audio sound White=left audio sound Yellow=video connect to the slots that look like they want some. 2. Coaxial (stiff cable with a pinner poking out of the end -- same cable that connects you to cable tv) just hook it up by itself; it carries audio and video. 3. Component (red/green/blue)(red/white) two 'bundles' red=red component of video green=green component of video blue=blue component of video red=right audio white=left audio 4. VGA + (red/white) VGA=video (computer monitor cable) red=right audio white=left audio 5. HDMI (flat hdmi cable. you spent $30 on this 3 foot ****) HDMI=audio and video 6. hugs and kisses hugs=video kisses=audio (both sides)

Subwoofer

Depends on what you have it hooked up to. Check wiring and controls if it is self powered. Check receiver/amp to see if it is outputting to subw.

I have a Pioneer VSX-35TX receiver when connected to the subwoofer there is no sound questions on what I am doing wrong.

Set front speakers for small and make sure sub is turned on in setup mode. If Front speakers are sent to large I believe the only time sub will work is with Dolby Digital Lfe signals. If sub is turned off of course it will never work.
