When you turn on tv picture is scrambled in vertical line in center of screen have audio but no picture

Your vertical hold is out on the tube. new tube is needed. cheaper to get a new flat panel tv.

It happens when Vertical deflection stops as Vertical Out IC becomes hot or does not get vertical signal.
Please check electrolytic capacitors and dry solder joints in vertical out section in TV.

this is a common problem,the vertical hold has been damaged.dont leave the teli. on,the white line will burn the middle of the screen and leave a black mark. You need a new integrated circuit(i.c.) for vertical hold.

the trouble of your tv is not a picture tube.it's in vertical section,so check the supply of vertical IC if its ok ,re solder the ic.

You have a number of bad capacitors in the vertical circuit. If you can solder, you should be able to repair this yourself. I'll look up your model to get the parts needed.

Hi, if your getting half a picture AND the other half is black the vertical circuit is failing, either solder is broken or vertical IC needs to be replaced, not a pricey fix, BMW Rider
