- Hi I have a 24v ryobi battery charger not working, I can hear what I think is the transformer hum when I plug it in ,but no lights are coming on , any ideas anyone ? James- meherbabaAug 21, 2008
- My Ryobi CTH 1202 Charger wont charge batteries. I took it apart and the 250V 500Ma fuse was blown. I put a new one in and as soon as I put a battery in to charge it blew again. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be or how to test/troubleshoot the problem. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.- paniolloSolution #2

I have two 18volt chargers doing the same thing. I have had them apart and it seems to be the transformer not pushing any power thru. If you can find a transformer that fits and has the right voltage that should fix the problem. From what I can make out if you leave the battery in for too long on charge it cooks the transformer. Hope this helps
