I have a Xerox Docucolor 12 printer which uses a RIP to process files you send from your computer in order to print them in the Docucolor. The RIP model is Splash G640 in an Apple G5 power pc. I have connected as I normal do and installed all the software needed. I have designated an IP address to the RIP and installed the RIP to my computer using the required software and assigning the RIP ip. Both computer and RIP are communicating succesfully (I prove this by sending a ping thru command prompt) But when I print in the computer selecting this printing, the document wont get to the splash (You can see when the file gets to the RIP on the RIP's display) Nothing happens on the splash nor the printer. The splash seems to be working fine, actually I managed to print succesfully the first time I tried the RIP , but when I took it to another location it wouldnt work anymore.. Please!! help!!!!!!!!!!

Printing to a Xerox DC12/DCS50

you can't print via serial to it. You will have to check the settings in your rip to see what the ip address is. Lights will blink all the time to indicate it is on a network, its just not talking to it. Then you go into your add printers section click the + sign and it should come up in there if the ip address is in line with your mac ip
