Question about ASUS GeForce 6200 TC, TD64 Video Card

I can't install a GeForce 6200 graphics card

Please, I know this story might seem long, but stick with me, I really need your help. I have a Wolfdale 1333-D667 motherboard and an intel dual-core processor. Anyway, I used to run my computer on an integrated graphics card, namely an intel 82945g. I recently acquired a new GeForce 6200, and properly installed it in my computer in the PCI-E slot. The thing is that when I connect my monitor to the 6200, it doesnt display anything. The LED flashes orange, as if my computer was turned off. Now, I've already gone to the BIOS, deactivated my integrated card, by setting the "internet graphics mode" to enabled as i was instructred in the manual (of the motherboard), adn set the boot to PCI, and that didnt work. Then i set it to PCI-E, but that didnt work either. I checked it out, saw that the motherboard suppors PCI-E x16 as the video card. So, basically I have no idea what to do next. I'm just completely stumped. Please, help me with this one.

No, I'm absolutely positive I plugged the monitor cable in the video card. I oduble checked before i posted this question. But, please tell me you were refering to another cable that I might not have been aware of.

I dont even have a flat screen monitor, it's just an old one, more precisely an IBM E74, and it only has one slot where i can place the plug.

no, the device manager does not display my card at all. so, to sum it up, i can say that it's as if it's not even there. I'm really stumped on this one. I double checked to see if I installed the card correctly, but I really don't see anything wrong with the way I insterted it. I even screwed it in tightly to be extra safe.

Also, if that card has dual outputs, such as 2 DVI connectors, try connecting your monitor to the other one.

Try reseating the graphics card in the PCI-E slot. Also, you can set the BIOS settings back to use the onboard graphics, and boot into your OS and goto the Device Manager just to see if the new card is even detected and functioning. If it is, make *sure* you have set all appropriate BIOS settings for using the new card instead of the onboard.

If there are more than one PCI-E slot, make sure you have the card in slot #1. Also, most new video cards need their own power cable plugged into them to function as well, do not forget this step. If all of this has been checked, try the card in another system and see if it functions, could be a bad card.

I know this is obvious, but i've seen it at least 35 times... Make sure you have the cable plugged into the card instead of your on-board slot.

Hi, I have an EVGA GeForce 6200 AGP, 256MB DDR2

This is a common problem, you need to clear the CMOS which will also reset the BIOS settings. Here's a few ways you can do that:
