No remote on VDO CD 139 CD player

I recently bought a VDO CD 139 CD player and am trying to connect it to the amp for the sub but it doesnt have remote wire outlet from head unit. It has sub out lines and 2 other lines for phone. How do I manage to connect the remote wire for amp to turn on the amp?

Re: No remote on VDO CD 139 CD player

If the head unit does not have a 12v switched output you could connect it to the cars ignition which means that the amp will switch on when you turn the ignition on and it won't drain the power when you switch off

On alpine cd3 9852 model, attached wiring for model of car and proper connections, yet subs only work for radio.subs will not work for CD or IPod connection.all wiring is color coated and has been checked...

Make sure you are using the blue/white wire to turn the amp on. The blue wire is antenna remote and turns off when leaving tuner mode. The blue/white wire is amp remote turn on.

I have a kenwood kdc 139 and there is no bass at all, the bass only kicks in when i change the balance to fully left or fully right.

Check your wires to make sure they're not crossed. follow them all the way back to the radio if you have to. when it comes to subs, you have to get it right with how you connect your possitive and negative especially coming out of the amp. if you have rca's connected from the radio to the amp, then check the output to your subs from the amp to the subs, make sure theyre wired correctly. if you used your stereo wires for input to your amp, then make sure those wires are positive with positive and negative with negative. also make sure you have them hooked up to rear output only. don't use one rear and one front.

No sound to the subs

Possible solution: Check to make sure your ground connection is connected to metal that is NOT covered in paint. This is not a solid connection and can ruin your amp over time. Simply scrap away the paint and re-connect. This was a problem i ran into recently.

Sub doesnt kick on when put cd in only comes on when turn on radi

I had the same problem, but in my case it was a factory amp.

The blue wire on the deck harness is for a power antenna, and only powers up when the tuner is in use, not in the cd or aux mode. Therefore if you are using the blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to power the remote power on your amp, you would need to connect that blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to a keyed power source. This way the keyed source supplies power when the key is on, and will not cut out when the mode is changed from "Tuner" to "CD" or "AUX".

I just connected to the keyed source on my radio harness, but then, I am not running any kind of system, just the basics.

Cd player plays, but no sound comes out of speakers.

first off the amp gets power straight from the battery. the amp is used to power the subs. the subs are suppose to be connected to the amp only( never the speakers).

for the second part you mostlikely killed the wires. you should get some one to look at it and check the wires. thee speakers might need to be re-wired

Look at the enwood. I bet you have the remote wire hooked to the blue wire insted of the blue/white wire. The blue wire goes dad when you play a cd as it is for a power antenna. The blue/white wire is your amp turn on.

Now, if you do not have a blue/whie and only blue, then obviously that circuit in the radio is bad in whch case your only other option s are either connecting it to an accesory fuse or using a toggle switch connected to power.

Kenwood 135

sorry about the delay I was on holiday, if you haven't solved the problem yet I would suggest that you check that you are getting both power supplies (red and yellow) and if not the first thing to do is check the fuses in the car. Let me know if your'e still having problems.
