I have the same problem on my DLP PT-50 DL54. I just received my television back from repairs and hopefully, with fingers crossed, the problem is solved. The Panasonic repairman replaced (5) faulty power capacitors. I do not know exactly what that meant, however, he stated that is what was causing the set to shut off, triggering the various blink codes. Previous to phoning a technician, I took out the original lamp and re-seated it back into place. Oddly, this worked for (2) months! After that, I purchased a new lamp to see if that would help the problem, unfortunately, it did not! Hopefully the set will last long enough where the new lamp will be needed and used.
Anyway, good luck... I think we all are experiencing the same problems due to a faulty design flaw. (check posts for other Panasonic TV's)
GOOD LUCK! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
