I hate to say this, but it is the material you are nailing to, we have trouble with air nailers nailing mdf so I am sure the gun is even more underpowered for the job

Is there an adjustment setting for different powers? Maybe you need to increase the power that the nail is being put in with.

Morning Rhonda,

According to Stanley's own website, the TRE500 will only use either 1/2" or 5/8" brads.

The nail gun will not shoot

I don't have that same model but my gun started doing something similar a while back. I was able to disassemble the head of the gun and found that the hammer or piston that drives the nail had rounded itself off and wasn't able to make good contact with the nail head. Instead it pushed itself on top of the nail and got wedged. It's nearly impossible to see the stuck nail or dulled piston head without taking it apart. Hopefully this will help.

How do you load nails into a stanley tre550 nail staple gun?

there should be a button on the bottom rear of the gun, when you press it, it should release a bar that you pull back. the nails go in the dirction you nail them. sometimes the clips are too big for the guns and you have to break about an inch off of them

Bostitch nail gun loss of pressure, won't fire nail

Hello. I can help you. The nail gun you have uses 18 gauge brads. I would use only original Bostitch 18 gauge.

The one MM of difference you mention is the reason why you do not have the pressure you did have. Get rid of those 31MM brads and get the 18 gauge. Home Depot carries the Bostitch line. I would go there or to homedepot.com

Dont know what nails to use on my makita brad nailer

is that a model AF505? if it is, your problem may be the gauge. make sure you use 18 gauge nails, he 16 gauge are too big and will jam in the gun.
