Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I used an old copy of Frontpage 2000 to do a 23 page website for a non-profit organization in Bolivia. Are there updates I can add to get better results? Thanks for your help. June Castro

Here you can download Frontpage HTML tools:

But I would probably take a different path, Frontpage has been discontinued since 2006 and replaced with Microsoft Expression Web which was in turn rolled into Visual Studio in 2012. But here is the good news, Microsoft Expression Web 4 is available for free and since it was designed to replace Frontpage, it should be able to import and convert Frontpage websites.

I had a similar experience. Perhaps this advice (from my Web Hosting provider thinkhost.com will help (However I was using FP 2003):

You can publish your web site from a copy on your own computer to your hosting account , or you can edit your web page directly on our server making the changes instantly available without having to publish.

To publish from your computer to our server:

* Open the copy of the web site you have on your computer

* Go to "File" then "Publish Web" on the FrontPage menu

* Type in the web address of your server based site http://www.fixya.com (whatever yours is ...)

* Click "Publish"

You will be then prompted for your hosting username and the password you assigned when installing Frontpage extensions.

To work on the live version of your site, open the web by going to File --> Open Web menu, and then typing in the web address for your site.

In this scenario, when you create or edit a file, you're editing it directly on the server, and therefore do not need to upload it, as it will already be there. Exercise caution, because if you make a mistake there really is no way to fix it, as the changes are instantly made on the server.

When using this method, we suggest you make a backup copy of your files in case a problem develops. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own backups.

Special note:

We strongly recommend not using FrontPage's FTP feature for uploading - all publishing should be via the http:// publishing option. The reason for this is that we've noticed many clients who are not familiar with the FrontPage FTP feature tend to accidentally delete critical folders or upload to the wrong folders. Using the http:// publishing option ensures that your site will be uploaded to the right folder in your account.

If you need to use FTP, we recommend using a dedicated FTP program - some of them are listed here.

I'd like to download FrontPage (for free if safe and possible!)

FrontPage has been discounted by Microsoft you can get a trial version of the new product Web Expressions on their web site.

Various web sites offer downloads of FrontPage but I don't know if any of them are safe.

Frontpage software needed

You can get a free trial copy of MS new Web Expressions it will work.
But you will need to remove any of the Themes, navigation bars, and other FrontPage Wizzard stuff and remake the site.

FrontPage has been discontinued, it is still a great product. If you find some place that can still sell you a legitimate copy at a good price do post it here.

I need frontpage i want to create a website

Frontpage has been discontinued. It's a bummer because I like the program myself and still use the 2002 version of it.

There are two replacements for web development.

The first on is Visual Web Developer Express Edition and is available for free at Micorosoft.com. I'm using it for an intranet site at work. It works with SQL server and even Access databases very well. It takes 3 gig to load everything up.

The next program is Microsoft Web Expression. It's $299 for full $99 for upgrade. If your licensed for Front Page, you qualify for the upgrade price.

Some of the new software doesn't work with Front Page server extensions. One system does but the other doesn't. Microsoft.com can give you the details on that.

About Frontpage

Manasrath:

Please tell me more. I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do.

Do you want to create a membership system for web site users to use. Like sign in with password to have access to the web site?

Or are you talking about having more than one web author working on your web site with frontpage?
