Well with air conditioners, you need to plug them into a circuit in your house that you will not be using for anything else, whether that be lights, computer, etc... because portable a/c systems like that can take up to 15 amps which is what the average circuit is designed for. If you do have it as the only thing plugged into that circuit in your home, then it could be that the unit is going bad and is drawing too much current, or the electrical system in your house is not operating correctly. To which if it is either the unit or your electrical system and not just an overload of appliances, then you'll need to either get the a/c fixed or replaced, or have an electrician come out and check out the system.

But check to make sure you don't have anything else on that circuit of your house other then the a/c unit.

Check the LOT. If it is faulty, horizontal output transistor will blow out. Check the capacitor connected across the collector of the horizontal output transistor to Gnd. If it is bad, or have any loose solder terminals, H-Out transistor will blow out. If you wish to get more http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ check this link. Why does my fuse keep blowing

If its the correct size fuse you have a short causing the fuse to blow. if its a fuse to say the a/c compressor, the compressor is pulling over the fuse size and causing it to blow.

1988 Mercedes Benz 560Sl The fuse for the A/C and heat control keep blowing I changed it and the A/C is very cold but the fuse keeps blowing when the fuse blows theirs nothing . no air blowing...

right if the fuse blows there should not be any air blowing. Anyway this sounds like your have a bad ground in the circut this is running on. Simply get a meter and check the circut from the battery all the way around ac circut and back to the battery. you will find it as auto electronics are very simple once you put aside your fear of it and realize that it current starts at the battery and ends there. Follow the ac's circut and the problem will be found. good luck

that is in the control cicut the contactor might be bad and taking out cntrl fuse.unhook contactor control voltage by unplugging from contactor tape off the two wires put new fuse in turn on power if fuse does not blow replace contactor.if it does blow you will have to isolate the next thing in the control circut maybe the light.you can buy resetable 1amp circut breakers at grainger for test purposes.sometimes on people I know I will wire in those breakers for them no more buying fuses.
