Router problems.

-   I also cannot connect through the router,but have no problem through my dsl connection. I have used linksys step by step instuctions to no avail. Is there a way to detemine if the router is bad or my internet provider is to blame.?

-   I have a linksys WRT54G wireless router, I use it with a DSL connection. When the DSL line is connected to the router my internet will not connect. I also have a laptop and when the router is connected my computer displays that it has signal but then will not connect.

Right now I have the DSL line connected directly to my desktop but I cannot understand why the connection is lost in the router???? I even have ethernet cables connecting the router to the desktop and the signal is still lost??

PLEASE HELP
