SOURCE: Hotpoint reversomatic 9318-keeps tripping the rcd
could be anything timer motor heater .. have you checked if bearings are gone ? most likely spider has collapsed and dropped drum onto heater and cut through it
SOURCE: WE HAVE AN OLD MACHINE, HOTPOINT REVERSOMATIC
Unplug the machine. Pop the top, it is held on by spring clips. Watch the finish. Remove the front panel. Probably 2 or 4 screws. Be careful of the door wires. Move front out of the way. The drum will fall free. Remove it. Look carefully on the floor of the machine near the motor for the belt tensioner. Note the slots in the floor. This is where the tensioner goes.
Clean everything ... collect the money and bottle caps etc, including the exhaust duct.
Put the new belt around the drum. Have an assistant hold the drum in place while you thread the belt through the tensioner and around the motor pulley. Move the drum into final position and reattach the front panel. Snap the top into place.
Vola - fineto.
