Samsung remotes sometimes have buttons up the top of their remotes to control other devices. I accidentally hit these sometimes and they change the controller to another (not connected). Ensure TV Button on top of controller is pressed before using remote to turn on tv.

There are so many different error kinds of flashing red light on different brands and models of plasma, Lcd and CRT TVs. The errors are depends on color and how many times are the LED flashed. Try to count how times the red flashed on and check it through internet what error you had on your tv. Maybe entering the service menu in your unit solve the problem.

Hi, Make sure you have adequit power to TV 120v AC. If not get electrician to make changes for this..
Make sure TV cord has not been freyed or cut.Replace if needed.
If red light is flashing you will need to get new power supply in back of set. You will need techy to replace this. Good luck.

I have the same problem. No video just audio.
No on screen display visible either (volume, channel labels) nothing.

Samsung tried to repair this under warranty TWICE within 2 months. Second time they replaced circuit board and it worked for another 8 months. So I paid $1.500 for a TV that died again after 1,5 year - this is ridiculous.

I have no idea what the reason might be and I wont try to fix this since samsung tech could not fix it without replacing circuit board.

is this a plasma or a dlp tv? if is a dlp a have bad news for you get rid of the tv, if is a plasma then is something different, post the model # anyway to see if we can help you.
