Screen does not lighy

If you look very closely, is there an extremely dark picture, or a solid black screen? If it's an extremely dark picture, you just need a new backlight. If it's a black screen, you either have a bad connection (broken, shorted or unplugged cable), or need a new LCD. Let me know, and we'll go from there.

You can hear the sound but can not see the picture. The screen is just black.I just want to know how to repair this without it costing an arm and leg.

Not worth repairing,U can get a new one about 70-80 dollars,Ur LCD screen is shorted and it dead, the LCD screen alone cost aleast $60 + taxes off of will require someboby have the know how to replaced the LCD screen too.So not worth it tries to repair dvd players or portable dvd players. It cheaper just buy a new one.

No picture i only hear sounds, its blackout.

Hi you probably turned the screen the wrong way take off the battery undo all the screws (heaps) take the base off and check the black and white plug hasnt pulled out of the sockets push them back in, unless you turned the screen around and around and ripped them out this may be the cause when putting the screws back in careful you dont thread them as it is easily done good luck

if the lcd screen is attached to another small printed circuit board, you may need to replace that, otherwise you may need to have to replace the lcd panel. Good Luck :)

Black Screen

If the LCD screen is not broken.the LCD backlight probably went out when it got dropped. Need to take it to a service center to get it looked at.
