Troubleshooting LG Top-Loading Washing MachineDoor Error. The washing machine gives a flashing beeping DE error that the door (top loader) is still open while this is not the case. You may encounter a situation when your washing machine displays 'dE' error. This error appears when the door is not porperly locked.


If the Machine is displaying "dE" error, kindly check for the following :

? First and foremost the door must be properly closed.

? You can check the end of the drain hose is too low (Make sure the holder of drain hose in the back is intact).

? Also, you can check the end of the drain hose is submerged in water.

door interlock needs replaced

check ebay for a new interlock

Make SURE code is dE because if it's oE = it indicate a problem with WATER level. from my Manual "trouble shooting " page. o.k.Ray

It's a bit unusual to have the difference between with or without clothes but 'de' normally stands for Door Error! There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

PS All I can think of is that the clothes make the drum/rubber surround drop sufficiently to trigger the 'DE'- strange!

if you forgot to put down your water outlet then this 'dE' error will come ...i.e before rinse / after wash u can say 'disposal Exit'

I would first have to ask if you are IGNORING
the very VITAL INSTRUCTIONS to use only
"HE" (high efficiency) washing detergents...

IGNORING this very IMPORTANT instruction is
PURE NEGLEGENCE and can damage the machine.

I would suggest if you don't want to buy a replacement
machine... you treat this one according to the OPERATING
MANUAL.
