Top drawer works fine - bottom has F2

F2 is suppose to be a motor problem but how could that be when top works just fine. Isn't there just one motor

F2 indicates a problem with motor rotation. Each unit has it own entity. Top draw has it own motor. Bottom also has its own motor.
Tha is one down, the other still working except for the case of F1 code.
Your case is probably a simple problem: some residues stuck in drain pump port. Here are the simple things to take care of the problem. If it doesn't and leave it for professional.
Unplug the power.
Take off the arm spray.
Take off the bottom stainless steel with a lot of holes out.
You can see a propeller in the center.
Carefully pull it up. It is a round plastic attached with a magnet to function as a rotor for the pump.
Clean it up by washing it with water.
Pay attention to the slot so you can allign it the same way when putting it back.
I broke mine due to the fragile plastic on the vertical sides.
Good luck.

Below here are root causes of the F2 code:
· Foreign matter has jammed the
motor.
· The motor drive electronics or
power supply have failed.
· The rotor is faulty or missing.
· The hall sensor is faulty or
missing

F2 code on Fisher Paykel dishwasher

The problem is linked to rotor operation during discharge cycle. By replacing the rotor with bottom will only address part of the problem. There is very likely some obstruction in the pump cavity. This is the small channel connecting the drain sump and the pump cavity. Grab a thin but rigid wire and clear this channel. Usually a bone chip or some seed.
Also confirm if the top rotor worked ok when you moved it to the bottom drawer.

Try swapping the motor rotors between the two drawers and see if the fault changes drawers, also check for anything stuck under the motors or and damage to the plastic of them. cheers

Dishdrawer model DD603 gives fault F2 (Motor). Unit has only been used a few times. What to do? Out of warranty.

Ok this is what you do you need to swap over the motor rotors from top drawer to bottom drawer. check for anything jammming the rotor etc when you take it out. if it works with the other drawers rotor then you need a new motor rotor. cheers

PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK

Lid is stuck in "down" position on the right only.

k the only thing you can do is try starting then stopping each drawer to see if the lid will go back up if not it will even be a hard one for the serviceman. you can't swap the wires like you've done it will cause large problems like a jammed lid sorry.

F2 flashing on lower drawer

F2 means "motor not sensed to be rotating"
You said "very rarely used" also. The two go hand-in-hand in most cases. If you leave the drawer sit unused for months and months, this can ruin the motor rotor. The rotor comes out with no tools. Remove the dishrack, the wash arm (both simply lift off) and then the stainless steel filer/cover. This is removed by rotating the collar counter-clockwise and lifting it up. Now rotate the collar for the rotor counter-clockwise and lift the motor rotor out of the pump base. See if it spins freely. it;s probably frozen. You also can try swapping the rotor from the upper drawer into the bottom and see if that will work for you. if the rotor is bad, it is a part number 525884P and you can get them here:

Need users manual, (f2) fault

Hi and welcome to FixYA!
F2 means the motor is not being sensed to be rotating. Lift off the wash arm and see if you can spin the blue impeller by hand. If it won't turn, it may be frozen of ajmed by an object like broken glass. Sometimes also if you let the drawer sit unused for a long time (some people only use the top drawer) the rotor will freeze up. The part number is a 525884P if you need a new one, it requires no tools to change it. As for the user guide, you can get one free here:

Fisher & Paykel dishwasher drawer won't run, beeps F2 error code

Craig, we had virtually the same situation.  The repair man  came and it took 2 minutes to fix.  The problem was that the bottom drawer had not been used for a couple of years and thus the impellor had jammed.  to fix it take out the basket, lift off the rotor arm and unscrew the knob.  Then just work the impellor around with your fingers until it frees.  It then worked perfectly.  We will use the bottom often from now on to prevent this happening again. By now the left over pumpkin pie will be a bit green!!
