How do I install a condensor fan on an older refrigerator, top freezer, bottom fridge. The repairman told us the part we needed and we have it but can't tell how to get back panel off or do we go from inside?

The condensor fan cools the coils and compressor behind the refrigerator . The evaporator fan , fulls ait over the inside coils into the refrigerator section and is located inside the freezer (inside).

Fridge not cooling enough... Repairman said that the board has gone bad but everything works fine other than the fan...Was he just trying to sell me a $400 board or what?

Sounds like either your evaporator fan is bad, or your condensor fan is bad underneath your fridge or your condensor lines are dirty. I would check those things out first. The evaporator fan is located in the freezer behind the back panel. You should be able to here and feel the fan. Good luck!

Newer kenmore elite trio refridgerator not cooling

The repair person came and in my case it was a start capacitator connected to the compressor. When he replaced the start capacitator the compressor came on immediately and started working. The charge $ 240 (Flat Rate) for the fix. The repair person told me its a universal start capacitator which I found online for $29. Worth trying to fix yourself before paying $240 if your a handy person.

Trio: humming and temp in freezer rising

It sounds like the condensor fan motor is seizing up. This is the fan that cools the compressor down. Does the outside of the fridge feel excessively hot to touch? Can you feel air being circulated under the fridge or behind the fridge? It could also be a faulty defrost timer. Try to identify where the buzzing is coming from and if it is the condensor fan you can put a normal standing fan behind the fridge, blowing onto the compressor untill the repairman can get to you.

My refrigerator is warm and ice build up is happening in the fridge

There is a timer that controls the refrigerator defrost cycles. This is located behind the kick panel at the bottom of the refrigerator. Remove the panel and look for a dial-like device toward the front. Try to manually turn the timer dial and listen for an audible click. No click, no defrost. Call a NEW repairman and have him check the defrost timer. Hope this helps.
