Re: My genisis has no picture!

Ok Antman
It could be 1 of two things
1 your TV signal has drifted try and re-tune
2 your RF modulator inside your megadrive has given up the ghost
there are ways around using your rf lead. there is a 8 pin hole in the back of your megadrive that you can buy composite leads or rgb scart leads for. or you can make one quite cheaply
or buy a new megadrive

The leads probably need replacing as these often split inside are you sure the your selecting the right setting on the tv are you using the colour leads red and white or is it scart lead ...............

Im trying to play my N64 (Nintendo 64) and the red light comes on but i can get a picture or sound from the TV. It is an older TV (it says "ADVENT" on the front). It is not a plasma or an LCD TV....

Well you need an N64 rf switch piece for it to work on a tv that does not have the rc jacks on it. I have the rf switch for N64 then thats what you need too.

Bad picture with Sega Genesis model 1

Taking your problem in a whole new direction, why don't you try purchasing an 8 or 9-pin (depending on the type of Genesis you have) DIN RCA cable. This will improve picture and sound, and you won't have to worry about malfunctioning RF converters. Your problem sounds like the RF adapters are inadequate.

Sound but, no picture on my super nintendo

I fixed the problem. It was only some dust in the connector, but I can't still understand why the RF out is broken.

My sega genisis doent work

on the back of the genesis there is a place where you would hook up rf adaptor and then the other end would plug up to the coxial connection on the back of the tv or the a/v cables would plug into the video and audio jacks on your tv. Depends on what came with your system.

NES console - intermittent, varying static sound

Your possibly using a wierd RF channel, try putting your tv at channel 3 or 4 and use the channel selecter on your NES accordingly

Picture scrambling and no sound.

inspect your cables your a/v cables make sure there is no breaks in the cable at all if using a rf adaptor please make sure you are on the right channel and the rf adaptor is also on the right channel.

you may need new cables and if that does not work then its something internal on the unit.

Xbox Picture is Fuzzy, and sound makes picture worse

Your TV. Try it on a friends' TV using the proper cables and whatnot and see if that is the prob. I reckon it would be. Oldarse TV's may not handle the newer signal well..
