IF water is left in machine then door wont unlock, check pump, run drain cycle. If pump runs but doesnt remove water, then check filter at bottom (small door on bottom front) water will come out when this is done. If washer is completely empty of water and door locked then you may access lock release tab from bottom or reaching down from top to lock asm. Then check lock

Hi, I have a zanussi wwashing machine model= ghg1200apm. The door won't open. I plugged out the machine after the wash and when i plugged it in again, the door wont open. Can you help me?

Hi.

The door does not open because there is water inside the machine. To open the door you need to empty the tub first.

To empty the tub disconnect power, open the door at the bottom of the machine's front side, unscrew the drain filter cap and collect water using a container.

Usually that is enough to allow the door to open. If the door does not get released, try running a cycle again.

If still no luck, then the door is locked either because the pressure switch detecting water level is clogged with soap or because the power surge has damaged some component. In that case the machine must be partially disassembled to reach the back of the door opening mechanism. The door latch is reachable either from drain filter access or from top of the appliance.

Emptying water through the drain filter and/or restarting a cycle usually is enough to release the door lock.

Regards.

My bosch maxx stops mid cycle and the spiral icon that represents spin starts flashing. Its seems that it can not drain or spin yet the drum rotates when washing. Now i have washing stuck and i can not...

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. Without knowing the model I can't be certain, but I would suggest that the empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. While it's trying to get the water evacuated, you will probably see the machine doing a slow tumble for up to 8 minutes and you may also hear the empty pump running too.
You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model, there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom (It may be behind a small door or hidden behind a clip on panel on the bottom) Many models of this design also have a small hose to the right of the filter cap that you can pull out, remove a plug from and drain off any water in the filter before you remove the filter and get your floor wet, so take a look for this before you remove the filter and get soaked.

In the event that this doesn't work and you just want to get your washing out, you will find that turning the machine off at the wall for 20 minutes will reset it and allow you to open the door (With the power still off). IF THERE IS WATER ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR, then pull the machine out and (With some help, because it's heavy!) Tip the machine backwards at about a 45 degree angle, so that the water line falls below the door before you open it.

If the above doesn

After running self cleaning cycle cannot open door...

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
The Range has to cool down before the door can be opened due to the safety interlock thermostats. If you just ran the self-clean cycle unplug it (or turn off the Circuit breaker) and let it sit for 2 hours and then try to open the door by pressing the stop/cancel button for more than 3 seconds.
IF this does not work just respond here and I will pass the instructions of how to manually open the door. There will also be troubleshooting required to determine WHY the dook lock is not functioning.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Code reads FL Door will not open. Ran spin cycle on empty to get water out after well went dry.

FL code indicates that the machine failed to detect that the door was locked. Perhaps the controller became confused when the fill failed (due to well). Try unplugging the machine for 15 minutes, and then plug back in. You may get the PF (Power Fail) code, but that is normal. You should be able to start a new cycle from this code.

If the door still will not open, please post back.

I ran the self-cleaning and the door will not open.

Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
or
Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
If these procedures fail to correct the condition, the lock must usually be accessed and moved manually to open the door.
Some model ovens require the oven door to be manually unlatched before the controls are returned to the OFF position or else the door may not be able to be unlocked. Check the owner's manual for proper operating procedures.

Door won't open

hi...
1) If you can get a small thin metal object in there and jiggle it around, you may get it open. If not, sheet metal panels will have to be removed to get to there. Do not smash the glass!!!

or

2) These door locks usually work with solenoids (Sp) if you unplug the machine (AND LEAVE IT UNPLUGGED). The door lock should release in no more than 10 minutes. there is also an emergency released built in somewhere, not being familiar with this model i will guess if you remove the front panel there might be a string you can pull to release it.

I think this solution will definitely help you...if yes then rate for my solution. Thank you for using fixya.

Door won't open

Usual reason for this is not emptied correctly. The filter on this model is in an awkward place so try lowering drain hose into a bowl to check if water still in.

Can't Open the Washer Door---Our Clothes are held Hoatage

Check and ensure that the tubes and passages to the water level pressure sensor are not blocked by caked detergent, lint , etc.
( this may have caused the water overflow in the first place)
clean up the internal parts that are wetted by the overflow.

clean the door lock mechanism. ( this normally works on a temperature delay mechanism, if cleaning does not work, replace)

all the above done with the power unplugged and water inlets unplugged , of course
