There is a series of buttons above the keyboard. It’s the one to the very left. looks sort of like a dish antenna; a dot and an oval.

Locate the Windows Mobiilty Center app on your laptop. There’s a button in that program that turns wireless on and off.
According to your manual, if you press the windows shortcut key on your keyboard and the ‘X" key at the same time, the WMC app will open…
or you can click its icon in your Control Panel.

Your wireless lan is turned off in the power settings management
(hit the battery icon ) choose wireless lan and Ibet you it is off select on and apply now rarely this will be turned off and if you are having wireless problems always refer to this before looking elsewhere as for why this happens I have not a clue but Istumbled on it when I was
having problems with mine and now its the first thing I check

Bluetooth peripheral device driver

Sai Ch Krishna,

Depending on the system. The bluetooth would have to have been purchased at point of sale. The wireless and the bluetooth are turned on by a wireless switch on the side of the computer. If needed you can reinstall the drivers. Also, make sure bluetooth is turned on in the bios. Below is more information.
Wireless Switch

Wireless Technology The Latitude D630, D631, and D630c system ships with a wireless feature called the wireless switch. It is located on the left side of the system next to the IEEE 1394 connector. When used in combination with the Dell 38482; Quickset utilities, this switch enables or disables the wireless LAN, wireless WAN, and Bluetooth cards in the system or searches for all wireless networks in range.
To scan for a Wi-Fi wireless LAN, slide and hold the switch in the momentary position for a few seconds. The Wi-Fi Catcher network locator works whether the computer is turned on or off, in Hibernate mode, or in Standby mode, as long as the switch is configured through QuickSet or the BIOS to control Wi-Fi network connections.
Because the Wi-Fi Catcher network locator is disabled and not configured for use when the computer is shipped, it must be enabled and configured through the Dell QuickSet utilities to control Wi-Fi network connections.

Wireless Switch LED Settings
The LED on the wireless switch works even if the system is off. A user can activate the switch and have it scan for networks without going through a complete boot process. The switch can be set to detect for only certain wireless signals, such as WLAN only, WWAN only, Bluetooth only, or any combination of these. This is set in the BIOS under the Wireless section.
The LED indicates the presence of a network as follows:
  • Flashing green - The system is searching for a signal.
  • Green - The system has detected a wireless signal and has good strength.
  • Yellow - The system has detected a wireless signal, but it is moderate to weak in strength.
  • Red - The system failed to detect a wireless signal, or the wireless signal is extremely weak.

I do not know my wireless pc

b> If your computer will not connect to a wireless Internet signal, one of the first things to check is whether your computer's wireless switch is turned on. Many laptop computers have a switch located on the exterior of the computer that controls its ability to connect to wireless networks. This switch can be accidentally turned off, preventing users from connecting to the Internet.

Determine if your computer's wireless connectivity has been disabled by viewing the network icon in the lower toolbar on your computer's desktop. When there is a disruption in your computer's Internet connection, the icon will have a red X through it. For further information, go to the computer's Network and Sharing Center where you can troubleshoot connectivity issues and view available wireless networks. If the computer isn't recognizing any wireless connections (and you're sure that there are wireless signals in your area), the likely problem is that the wireless switch is turned off. Locate the wireless switch on your computer. It may be located on either side of the laptop or along the back or front. If you aren't sure whether your computer has a wireless switch, check the user guide that came with the unit. Determine whether the switch is currently in the "On" or "Off" position. The switch will be clearly labeled. Push the switch in the direction of the "On" position to ensure that it is turned on. If the switch was already turned on, see if there is a keyboard combination that will activate your laptop's wireless capability. The key combination for your laptop will depend on your computer's manufacturer, but will generally involve a combination of the Function, Control or Alt and the F1 to F12 keys. Check your user manual for your computer's key combination. Troubleshoot problems finding wireless networks

How do I activate the wireless function?

Does the laptop have wireless capability? Is there a wireless card inside the laptop?

If so, look on either side and at the front of the laptop for a Switch that turns the wireless on. Once you have the wireless switch on there are keystrokes that you can use to toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it or it will have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))).

How do I turn on wireless switch for network card?

hi look for a swithc infront of the laptop or sometimes at the side. Then slide the witch to ON position. You may use also the funtion key in enabling/disabling the wireless card. Look for the F keys thats has a drawing of a computer with signal on it. Usually this key is the F5 key. Press and hold the Fn key then tap that key. This will toggle enable/disable the wireless interface.

Have a good day!

Sony vaio VGN NS15G/S NOT CONNECT INTERNET! ASK FOR SWITCH ON HARDWARE INTERNET SWITCH

Your laptop has a hardware wireless switch to turn on or turn off wireless transmission.
Look for it and make sure it is turned on.
I don't know your laptop model, but the switch is probably located in the font of the computer, besides the SD card slot. It might be marked "Wireless" and when turned a light should signal it.
