Question about Grilling
I have a Marshall Gas Controls propane regulator Model 230 installed on a sailboat and I need to increase the discharge pressure of the regulator because of the relatively long run to the stove. Unfortunately the regulator was installed in such a way that I can't remove it without a significant amount of effort. So I would like to find a way to increase the discharge pressure while leaving it in place.
I removed the cover plate and saw that there was a hex shaped opening that fits an Allen Wrench, but I was reluctant to adjust it for fear of damaging the regulator.
If the regulator can be adjusted to increase the discharge pressure, I would appreciate instructions on how to do this.
Thanks in advance for your help
Remove the plastic cover on the center of the regulator. To increase pressure setting, turn the plastic disk beneath with a screw driver. 1 turn clockwise increases the pressure 1/2" water column.

Just screw the hex plate in 2 rounds then test. If not enough pressure do agian and test... Ifi it doens't work buy new one.

You can order a new one at this location, but I am also trying to adjust the regulator on my Model 230 which is on my travel trailer. I had fine pressure, went to charge the bottles, came back with one new bonnet, installed both bottles, and neither will put out enough pressure to even keep my flame lit inside on the range. I am at my wit's end, but plan to contact the Jayco Trailer dealer near me to see if they can help me. You should be able to order a new regulator from your nearest dealer for your grill, too.
