Question about Hunter Fan Co. 60 In.Brushed Nickel Stonebridge Remote Control Ceiling Fan

1 Answer

Flickering lights I had two Hunter fans installed about a week ago, and both fans flicker when we shut the light off by the wireless remote wall switch. I have electricians coming out this week. The flickering is qutie irritating and we've resorted to shutting the light off by pulling the chain. I am a little bent because the wireless remote wall switches are not exactly cheap. I also had a Hampton Bay ceiling fan installed and I am having no problems with that fan. No flickering lights...it works perfectly.

Make sure you have the remotes/receivers set to different jumpers. I installed 2 fans and had the same problem, just had to change the jumpers on one of the fans and the corresponding remote

We had the Hunter fan installed in April and have been very pleased with its performance. About a week ago whenever you turn on the fan light it flickers nonstop. Can you help me?

this is caused by the watt governor or the black box in fan to the lights. remove the watt governor and wire the lights directly. when removed, hook white wire to white wire, and black wire to red wire. black and red wires are always the hot wires. governor part number- 98480-02, have a good day !!

Hunter ceiling fan. Lights and fans turn on and off by themselves. Both fans are on the same wall switch and are operated by separate remotes.

I just installed a 2nd hunter fan model 23811 that also seems to be controlled by grimlins. If the power is left on, the light and fan randomly turn on and off. And no, it is not due to fans being on the same frequency. It appears to be an issue with the control module. I'm contacting Hunter.
