I installed the original sime deluxe addition and then installed sims unleashed. I played it once and it worked great, but while I was playing it randomly exited and said I had another expansion pack installed and that I had to update sims unleashed. I click okay AND THEN IT UNINSTALLS ITSELF!! It even uninstalled the original sims sims. So I reinstalled it and IT DID IT AGAIN!! Can someone please help me? I have no internet on that computer and I'm sick of getting beaten at computer chess.

There is no need for the original sims. Double deluxe already includes the original game, plus 2 expansions:The Sims Livin' Large and The Sims House Party. It also includes The Sims Creator, which is a tool used to create and customize sims.
You have to have the disc in your cd/dvd drive to play the game. the game will not play without the disc. If you have any expansion packs installed you need to use the latest expansion disc. For instance, I have Free Time but not Apartment Life so I must have the Free Time disc in the drive to play the Sims 2, not the Sims 2 disc.
A crash at this exact point during the loading screen is typically caused by file corruption. This can be caused by downloads, an improper save, etc. There is a chance, however, that the crash can be attributed to a conflict with processes running in the background or the version of video or sound card drivers that are installed.
End background tasks . This will help to prevent conflicts with other programs running in the background as well as free up resources for the game, making it easier for your computer to run.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, this means it is, in fact, a corrupt file issue. In this case you would need to uninstall the game completely and reinstall the game. This should resolve the crashing issue.
The Sims has to be installed in the order of which they were released for best results. My family tried to install them in different orders on different computers so we could all play all the expansions using different disks without all haveing to buy the expansions. However, EA had foreseen this and the Sims can only be installed in order as follows.
"The Sims" or "The Sims Deluxe" or "The Sims Mega Deluxe"
