Change door opening EuroCave v266. The manual says to lay it on its side to remove the bottom hinge, The same manual says not to tip more than 45 degrees when moving. Which one is correct?

In theory a fridge or freezer should not be laid down - ever, but sometimes it is unavoidable. If the fridge has been laid down it is best practice to allow them to stand upright for several hours, in the place where it is to stand and correctly levelled, to allow the oil to drain back into the compressor before switching on.

The actual length of time varies depending on the opinion of who is giving it - I have heard everything from 4 to 8 hours. I would give it at least six and mostly would leave it overnight...

GE side by side fridge and when it stops cooling it makes a loud rattle. How can I fix that. Fridge is running fine. Thanks

The initial cause is often a failure to properly level the cabinet and ensure it stands firmly on a level floor. Eventually an unlevelled compressor can become worn and prematurely noisy, wear the rubber mountings and cause pipework to become detached from clips and brackets so the usual shake or shudder as it stops becomes magnified and causes the pipework to rattle and/or the rubber mountings to be ineffective.

My fridge has become very noisy? Could you advise?

The fault can be the vibration of the compressor motor radiating the noise to the condenser coils. So it may be hitting against the walls of the fridge and you are getting this noise. Also tthe compressor makes tteh vibration that transmits to plastics, trays at the bottom of fridge and the rear mounting. Use good adhesive stickers to soften them.

Moving a Eurocave wine cooler laying flat

the reason you should not lay a fridge/freezer on its side is that you will get air bubbles in the cooling pipes, which you may not be able to get rid of when you turn it back upright.I have moved loads of f/f, in the past and have had no problems,as long as you give the unit at least 24 hours to right itself.....and keep the door(s) closed while it is "resting"
