KENMORE UPRIGHT FREEZER 25327009410 IS STUCK IN DEMO CAN'T GET IT GOING...I NEED HELP DESPERATLY PLEASE HELP CINDY

The light may be staying on and creating heat, or the unit thinks the door is still open.

Or the door seal is worn and is letting cold out.

Or

It needs gas.

Have you put a thermometer inside to check the temperature? It should be 0'F +/- 2'.

CE probably means a Communication Error between the high and low voltage boards of the freezer. First check if your freezer uses a 9V backup battery and replace that with a new one. Next check the wiring for corrosion or damage. Check where the wires connect to the boards and inside the door. (Note: the high voltage board controls the compressor.) You may want to check that the freezer is holding the correct temperature with a refrigerator/freezer thermometer.

Lisa, you may have to contact the store where you bought it or contact GE. I looked all through the manual a couple time and nothing found on Demo mode. Check the attached links to contact GE for info., last link is USA. Good luck

Which model freezer do you have?

A few possible resets: press and hold the Set and + keys for 5+ seconds. On some models, that will get the freezer out of demo mode. On other models, it's the Set and Down arrow. For a few models, it's the Options and Up arrow. In all cases, it's press and hold both buttons until the unit responds.

I hope you will add a comment with the model of your freezer so that I can determine which set of instructions will work for your unit.

If it is showing "OFF" then the unit is in demo mode. To remove this press the up or down arrow three times as fast as possible (within 2 seconds). This will start the compressor. I hope this helps.

usually when aq defrost timer goes bad it gets stuck in defrost. I would suggest replacing this first

kenmore elite, alarm kept going on and b flashed on and off. I finaly figured out on bottom of freezer there is a battery door open it and change 9v. thats it,

You probably have a defective thermostat or sensor for reading the temperature.
