Won't print wirelessly

My printer won't print wirelessly or directly - When I send a print job, regardless of size, it won't print. However, yesterday I sent a print test page through the HP Director and it did print. I am sending from an Dell Insipiron 6400 laptop through a D-Link G class router (WBR-2310). It used to work, but gradually slowed down and eventually stopped. I haven't printed wirelessly or directly to this printer for over a year. I am now taking the time to try to figure out the problem.

Your printer loose documents:try to reset it ,unplug for an hour.
Or you might have interferences on your wireless :DECT phone, cell phone, or even an electric device who doesn't work propely, like tv, stove, speakers many things can parasites your connection...
If nothing does your printer as issues, think replacement...

SOURCE: Using hp laserjet p3005n, when I print one page it sends blank pg

Annoying but easy to solve.
Go to the printer's ip address management page from a web browser. Look under the TCP/IP address settings. Click on the advanced selection. Disable the LPD Banner page. That should fix it, if it's not under advanced poke around until you find LPD Banner Page. ;)

SOURCE: If I am not printing continuously, the printer

Hi there,
It seems that " Print on both sides (Manually)" is selected in printing options., when you want to print any document Go to file Print > select printer and click properties and disable the Manual printing option in device settings.
You should be able to get printing without errors,
if the option is not checked then check for the default paper tray,
save the settings and reboot your laptop/desktop and restart printer as well so that settings should work properly and any given command gets clear from memory, If these all settings are ok, Uninstall the printer driver and download the latest version drivers from HP website and install see links below

Got my HP laser jet P1005 plugged into 1 PC prints fine. But 2nd PC is networked to it and it takes ages to print! How can I speed up send PC print job? Both PCs Only ever print single pages.

Well, that really depends upon how you are "networked". Obviously, the primary PC is USB 2.0 connected direct to the printer. When you send a print job, the PC merely starts the print job and sends it to the printer on the fly. The other PC must first spool the entire job, packet it up, send it to the network, then network sends it to the first PC, where it must unpacket it, and send it to the printer. This is definitely going to be slower than a direct connection. And if your network connections are wireless rather than wired, even longer.

When I go to print I get message load mpf 024-969

This error typically means that the Size of paper defined in the print job being sent from the application does not match the size of the paper the printer has set for the MPF. (in this printer, MPF = Manual Feed)
For example: If you send a Letter size job to the printer from, lets say MS-Word, but the printer currently has Legal size paper assigned in the MPF, this error will result.

'check paper size' error has come up and nothing can now be printed. If turned off and on the last print which had caused the error prints out then the error message appears again. How can i clear this

This is usually caused by data within the print job. Microsoft Office sends paper size and job data with each job. Clear all print jobs in the computer sending the job.(Start/Printers/double click the canon printer and delete all jobs in the print que. Clear the Canon by off/on. Open a program and print a standard letter size document to test. This can be corrected by going to the page/document setup choices under "File" or the Ball in MS Office. Usually this is set to A4 or Bypass by mistake within the application.
Thanks

I have a Dell V313w. I am running off of Windows 7. When I go to print a job, it will shoot a blank page through the pinter before it begins to print the job. How can I ge that to stop?

Ensure you installed the correct driver.

The paper size in the tray is not the same you are sending for printing. Maybe the paper size the printer recognizes is smaller than you sent to print.

Thanks

Hp 9800 prints only quarter page

Try sending less pages to print and see what happens.
Try one to test and if it workks then send 24 of the 48 pages and finally the rest.

Printer will not accept the paper no matter what i do. i need to know how to take the printer apart. its a lexmark x85 all in one.

Please, do not take anything apart just yet.

Are you saying that regardless of where you insert the paper, no paper is fed into the printer when a print job is sent to the printer?

If you are, then you need to install the paper in one location, then make sure your driver properties is set for that location. Once that is done, then you need to go to page setup in the application you are using and make sure you are sending the print job to the same paper source.

Also, try using the printer all alone. Don't connect it to the PC. Go into the maintenance menus and print either a test page or a demo page.

If all else fails, do a "Print to file" from the driver. Then when prompted, name the file "papfeed". Send the job to janddgasrepair@verizon.net and I'll see if I can read the file and tell where it is expecting the paper to come from (no charge)

Printer not printing

Go to the printer properties and make sure there is not a previous print job. Cancel all print jobs. Then send a test print to the printer.

Printing duplex and legal size.

I don't have legal size paper to test this with so it's a theoretical point but it looks like the printer will not do duplex in anything other than:
  • A4
  • Letter
  • B5 (JIS)
  • Executive
You can always print in duplex manually which is always an option regardless of paper size.

Hope that helps.

I have a lexmark t644 printer and have an error code of 900.44 any ideas on how to fix this

  1. If the printer is currently displaying a 900 RIP Software error, power off the printer and leave it powered off for 20 seconds or more. Doing this will clear the printer's memory.
  2. While the printer is off, clear any pending print jobs from the computer or the network queue. This will prevent any corrupted print jobs from being sent to the printer again when it is powered back on.
  3. Power the printer back on.
  4. If the printer goes to the Ready status, try printing again.
  5. If the 900 RIP Software error returns when the printer is powered up or when you try to print, there is a problem with either the printer, the communication cable connecting the printer to the computer, or with the print job itself. Follow the directions below to check each of these components.
    • If the error appears every time you power on the printer, regardless of whether you send a print job or not, the likely source of the problem is the printer or an option installed on the printer.
    • If the error appears only when you send print jobs to the printer, the likely source of the problem is the computer, a setting on the printer, or one of the communication cables.
