The problem with this is the probe jack has corrosion inside the jack and its loosing signal to the controller. You can take the jack apart and try to clean it, make sure the power is off or to correct it where it won't happen again for awhile, replace the jack, it is not expensive, three wires are pluged into the jack once you pull it off the oven wall, very easy fix.

How do I test for a short for my Magnavox TV

What happens when you turn on the TV? Any power lights? Does it come in and then trip out?
It may be a fault at the plugtop and not inside the TV.
To test this You will need a digital multimetre. Put it on the continuity setting; it will make a continuous beep when you touch the two probes together.
Start at the plugtop. Remove cover and put the two probes on two different cable connection points. Try all variations. If it beeps you have a short between two cables either on the plugtop end or at the TV. Try this and see if you can find the problem.

Flashing top light 2008 vw convertible

Make sure you hear the beep after the top is down. The beep indicates the top is in full resting position. If you don't hold the button until you hear the beep, the light will continue to flash.

Unit beeps continuously

I had the very same problem and some web research suggested my unit was dead. However, I called Brookstone and they informed me that a faulty probe is typically the problem. I ordered a "Replacement Probe for Grill Alert (SKU# 558783)" which cost $15 (plus shipping and tax). This solved my problem, was well worth it as I like the Grill Alert, and I cooking turkey tomorrow!

Hello sfgelectric,
Welcome,

You said, your broiler and oven won't work. That you set bake and it beeps and the bake light flashes but oven wont light.

Does the display flash any error codes, or just the bake light?

Fault codes
1. BAKE or LOCK may flash rapidly in the display to alert you if there is an error
or a problem. If BAKE or LOCK appear in the display, press the CANCEL pad.
2.If BAKE or LOCK continue to flash, disconnect power to the appliance.
3.Wait a few minutes, and then reconnect power. If the flashing still continues,
disconnect power to the appliance and call an authorized servicer.
4.If the oven is heavily soiled, excessive flareups may result in a fault code during
cleaning. Press the CANCEL pad and allow the oven to cool completely, wipe out
excess soil, then reset

For most concerns, try these first.
Check if oven controls have been properly set.
Check to be sure plug is securely inserted into receptacle.
Check or re-set circuit breaker. Check or replace fuse.
Check power supply

I'll check the repair manual to see what I can find.
Let me know how it goes.
Perhaps this will fix a glitch.
Huuum

Probe light

I had the same problem today (my wife overflowed a pot of chicken stock last night, so there was liquid all over the cook-top, and some probably got down behind the control pannel). Based on the solution to a problem that seemed similar, though definitely not as exact as your description, I checked the probe connection (unscrewed the retaining nut, then unscrewed the two sheet metal screws holding the housing in place, then gave the probe connection a gentle tug to ensure that it was still properly connected). Finding nothing wrong, I replaced the housing and retaining nut, and the lights were no longer flashing.

Stove controls beeping and flashing "Probe"

Most likely oven sensor / probe is the problem. It can be tested with an ohm meter. Not sure about your model, but most should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If there's a tech sheet somewhere on your unit, it should tell you.
