Here's a link to the ABIT website where you can download the KT7A-RAID manual:

When I clicked on the "Download" link it failed, but when I clicked on HTTP Download it worked. I'll keep the file a few days. If you can't get it post your email address and I will send it to you.

Some of the portable drives need to use two USB ports in order to pull enough power to use it. If it has two USB plugs on the cord, you have to plug both of those into the USB ports. It is also a good idea to use it with the computer plugged in. Not so portable after all. In the drawing below there are two USB connectors. Try plugging them both into a separate USB port.
Some computers put enough power out to one USB port, but others don't. If the problem persists after plugging both , I suggest you return it, and find one that will work with your system. Portable drives draw a lot of power, and it does depend on the Laptop.

The SimpleTech 160GB ext. drive has a usb 2.0 cable with a y plug. I can only plug in one but I use the additional power supply. I get a message at times telling me to use the usb 2.0 port for faster...

You are using the correct connection, the external power supply is powering the drive, so the USB cable is just handling data. I believe the message may be telling you that you will get faster performance using a USB 2.0 connection, it is probably sensing that your computer's USB port is USB 1.1.

Trying to hookup all the wires to the motherboard? Have the schematic can't figureet out where the wires to the sd card readers hookup. advise.

There are little golden pins that stick out of the motherboard, these are what typically receive your front multi-reader (the usb ports and SD/memory card ports) cables. They also receive your power button and operate the HD light and things like that. They are very inconveniently marked in small white print that's abbreviated, so it can be difficult without the proper manual to figure out what plugs where.fbe22e7.gif Those things in the red circles there are examples of what they look like. I truly hope this helped!

Which usb port do i plug my 3 in 1 printer in on my e machine?

It means you have a port that has 2.0 USB and your device is being placed on a 1.0 port, you would need to buy a 2.0 pci card with 2.0 USB port hookup to the motherboard and hook u the 2.0. you have an older computer that had the 2.0 USB installed on the board but not hooked up to any USB ports.

When i plug in the jumpdrive on any computer it says USB device not recognized, please help

Well, it’s a super simple solution! No need to edit the registry, uninstall drivers, or anything of that sort.
Yes that’s it! Note that this does not mean just turning off your computer because modern computers don’t really turn off when you press the power button as the motherboard still gets power.

First to explain, the motherboard is where all of hardware of the computer is connected to, including the USB ports. Sometimes the motherboard needs to be “rebooted” also because something can go wrong, i.e. all your USB ports suddenly stop working. The small microprocessor on the motherboard will reload the drivers and your USB ports should be back to recognizing all devices!
So first turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. Let it sit for about a minute and then plug it back in.
Hope this helps someone fix that pesky “USB device not recognized” Windows error!

P.S. if it is a laptop, power up the laptop with just the batteries, not plugged in to fix this issue.

Give this a try and come back to tell us if it worked or not.

Usb port how do you use it

By service port they mean a device hookup that a tech can use to diagnose problems with your TV. There is no practical use for you to plug into it. If you want to display your laptop on the TV you need yo hookup the video out from your laptop to the TV's PC/RGB input.

Hope this helps FixYa,

No instruction how to hookup

Choose interface type usually USB cable don't plug anything into PC until you download driver for your model. support and drivers section, type in model and download file. When it is in the install process it will tell you when to connect the cable and turn it on. It will finish and you should be good to go.

USB Port

USB port is used to plug external devices such as pen drives and other supported devices.. first of all there exist two usb ports: 1.0 and 2.0 . so when you connect your devices via usb, make sure that you have the 2.0 port for faster transfer is also a way to add more devices to your pc without having to unscrew anything.there are plug and play devices and non plug and play devices which require specific driver

I cant connect my psp to my pc

try using another cord(either buy a new one or borrow someones) to connect your psp to your pc and also try plugging in something else to the computer with the same hookups to make sure its not your computer ports. if niether of those suggestions work, you might have a problem with the ports on your psp being shot, which is a problem with alot of electronics. also make sure that the ports arent plugged or gummed up with anything and look if there is any wear on the contacts of the wire and the ports.
