SPIN CYCLE At start of spin cycle the pump runs and drains. When the spin cycle starts, the drum rocks heavily even when empty, and the motor stops momentarily. About 15 secs. later it starts again with same result. This continues until the timer stops.
Yes, I have this problem also, further the clothes are wet coming out of the machine. Like DRIPPING wet, not just normal wet.
I have reset the computer by unplugging waiting for twenty seconds then plugging back in, however that is not working anymore.
I think it is ashamed to buy a 800 washer that is only lasting 5 years!
When my Dryer quit on my last year, I had a technician come over, tear it apart and charge me 75.00 to say it could not be fixed. Is this an issue that has been found in these machines and is it terminal or fixable at a reasonable cost?Yes, I have this problem also, further the clothes are wet coming out of the machine. Same problem with Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWW. Took it apart and found inner tub rear bracket (where shaft connects) was broken in all 3 sections of support bracket.
Also found shaft bearings need replacement, but Maytag won't sell bearings seperate from outer tub (pressed in), would cost $700 to fix both problems. Is there a current lawsuit or other option to reimburse for this?Same problem with Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWW. the cycle starts up but doesn't run all the way through then the drum keeps spinning but the water doesn't end up draining out when done. Washing machines will not spin until they have emptied most of the water from the drum.
I would check the outlet pipe is clear and the pump runs with no obstruction first.
Good Day, Your
washing machine is fully automatic?
the
washing cycle is normal?
if yes
do the same maybe it will help you.
for
the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the
filter of your drain pump, how? remove the cup of your drain pump like a
ordinary cup, screw it clock wise or counter clock wise.
Remove
drain pump filter and clean it, some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any
small item that coz of clog up.
if
your washing machine dont have drain pump ,but fully automatic check the drain
motor if running or not? how? open the back cover for top loader washing
machine only, select spin cycle and press start to see the drain motor running?
the drain motor is like a small box with small wire to pull the lever of the
drain to remove water inside, if the motor running or pull the lever of the
water pipe but water still inside the washing machine, remove the drain cup or
cover and clean it or check if have coin or cloth inside that coz of clog or
water stuck,
if the
drain pump or drain motor is weak this is will cause and long time draining or
totally not running the drain pump or drain motor and its cause of totally stop
the cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because all fully
automatic washing machine, after washing cycle the drain pump or drain motor
must be on, to remove water before start the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle.

replace the brushes in the motor _around 20 quid and usually the first thing to start messing up when the brushes get short is the fast spin _UNPLUG IT FIRST. you might also like to clean up the com with a bit of wet and dry
I believe your drain pump filter is just clogged. The drain pump is
trying to pump the water out before the Spin cycle, but can't. Usually
this is caused by a foreign object that is obstructing the impeller. See
my tip on how to access, drain & clean the Drain Pump Filter:
sounds like maybe a blocked pump.Probably got a coin or sock or some lint in the pump.Has your machine got a filter ? What happens when you position the program switch on a spin section and turn it on ? does it pump out the water ?
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
Jayron, is the motor jogging? start to spin, stop, start to spin stop. If so, your motor is jogging between the high and low start windings. The motor during spin should start on the high speed windings and stay there until most of the water is drained. GE came out with a new motor, harness and run cap because of this. If you have a meter, there should be a white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V and it's doing this jogging, replace the motor with the kit...Let me know if this the issue, Catriver..post back.
