Question about Lenovo 3000 Y410 Notebook

1 Answer

My NOVO key to my Lenovo 3000 Y410 notebook won't worked anymore.

I bought a new internal SATA hard disk for my notebook. and working fine but suddenly when I tried to reformat it with my NOVO key it won't work. Is there a way to get my NOVO key working again with my new hard disk?.. Do I need to have a new recovery partition?.. If yes, how?.. Do i need a software for that to make it work again?..

Hi

If you have recovery DVD then u ll set factory setting otherwise no option. Always after successful installation create image with Ghost software or Nlite this both of software very useful.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You have to go into computer management then disk management then resize your D drive first then reboot go back into disk management and resize your C drive. If youre not sure how to get into disk management just type it in your run box. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

How do i get to the one key recovery menu?

Hello. For a Lenovo 3000 Y410 notebook. You may enter the OneKey recovery menu by pressing the NOVO button while the notebook is powered off. You can use this to restore your C drive (or your primary partition) back to factory default configuration including the operating system and the software on it.

My os has currupted and my novo key is not working

Hi,

The only solution to that is to either look for your Recovery Disc or the Windows Installer to have your computer reformatted.

Lenovo- dont know model, has preinstalled XP on hidden parition, what is the function key to reload operating system?

Turn off the notebook. If yours is an Ideapad or 3000 series, press the Novo button. If you're on Thinkpad, I think it's called the ThinkVantage button... basically, it's the button that works (when Windows is on) to change the power scheme (in Ideapad) or to access one-button solution (in ThinkPad).

Problem with the novo key.

Lenovo has a support site that you can go to, which I have linked to below. I have already narrowed down the pages so that you can scroll down to the keyboard section, and just click on the appropriate link. This will install drivers (basically what runs the novo key) that will fix your problem.

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68104.html

The correct driver should be located around the middle of the page or towards the bottom.

One key recovery not working

This problem exist because once the 31GB default partition is formatted NTFS, it reduces in size. So, I found this solution.

1. Boot your machine with Ubuntu LiveCD
2. Go to Disk Utility and remove the C partition (31GB) and do not format it. Just RAW partition.
3. Now, Power off your lenovo Y410.
4. Press the NOVO key to start OneKey recovery and follow the prompts

You should get an option to recover sucessfully.

Enjoy
