Hi....
do the following steps to get the audio....

  1. To start the Terminal Services Configuration snap-in, click Start, point to Run, type tscc.msc, and then press ENTER.
  2. Double-click RDP-TCP Connection.
  3. In the RDP-TCP Connection Properties dialog box, on the Client Settings tab, click to select the Audio Mapping check box.
  4. Click OK to close the RDP-TCP Connection Properties dialog box.
  5. Quit the Terminal Services Configuration snap-in.
To configure the settings for remote computer sound on the RDC client, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection.
  2. In the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, click Options.
  3. Click the Local Resources tab.
  4. In the Remote Computer Sound section, click Bring to this computer in the drop-down list.
  5. Click Connect to use the new settings.

if these steps do not fix your problem then install your motherboard CD again into the drive and install the audio devices...
thank you

I want to reformate this flash drive how do i do it

Insert it to your computer through the USB port, if it opens up automatically, close the window. Open My Computer, locate the "Cruzer" or "Removable Media" or whatever name is specified to your cruzer, right click and select "Format", a new dialog box will pop up, click "Start" to begin formatting, wait for few seconds until the formatting is done. You'll hear a notification sound when formatting is completed. Hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.

I recently installed the Real Alternative software to open AVI files, 'cause in my WM player I could only hear the sound, and I couldn't see the video, it's not a problem with all my AVI files, just a few...

Hi

There's no problem with the operating system. And please do not reinstall windows again. Its a known issue only for some types of videos even if its in the same format for example- 2 different files in AVI format ones working but the others not. This happens because some type of videos are only supported by 3rd party codecs which is not made by microsoft as windows media player is product of microsoft. Now you might also notice that the same video might be working in your friends computer or a different computer absolutely fine. Its just you would have to wait until it will download the update it self.
SOLUTION:-
Look m not a big fan of microsoft either. So do not depend on Windows media player.Simply download VLC PLAYER which is the best. Its small, plays all kinds of videos in all formats. The following is the link for the setup file of VLC PLAYER-:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/files/1.1.5/win32/vlc-1.1.5-win32.exe/download

Now njoy watching all the videos with high def and better sound than Windows media player

Hope this fixes the problem,If it doesn't please reply

Thanks & Regards

When i open my laptop,i hear the sound of the windows loading and i can even see it but after that i can't see anything...just the backlight..nothing else..what should i do?

Boot from safe mode and check whether u can be able to see windows.
If you can, then the system is faulty and needs repair by just re-installing windows without formating the PC.

No sound from the HDMI

This document pertains to HP or Compaq PCs with an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connector for connecting a monitor or TV. If you use HDMI to connect your display, you must activate HDMI sound by adjusting your Windows settings . If HDMI is not activated, you cannot hear any sound. Because of this, HP recommends that you connect analog speakers to the computer to hear sound during the initial setup of the computer. Use the following steps to activate HDMI sound on your computer: NOTE: If you ever perform an HP system recovery, you must repeat this procedure to activate sound for the HDMI connector.
  1. Right-click the Volume icon by the time in the lower-right corner.
  2. Click Playback Devices . The Sound window opens.
  3. On the Playback tab, click Digital Output Device (HDMI) if it is listed. If it is not listed, click Realtek HDMI Output . Figure 1: Digital Output Device (HDMI) selectionc01503048.gif Figure 2: Realtek HDMI Output selectionc01063625.gif
  4. Click Set Default .
  5. Click Apply .
    • If you used Digital Output Device (HDMI) , click OK to close the window. This completes the steps to activate HDMI sound.
    • If you used Realtek HDMI Output , continue with Step 6.
  6. Double-click Realtek HDMI Output . The Realtek Digital Output Properties window opens.
  7. Click the Supported Formats tab.
  8. Place a check in the 48.0 KHz check box, and make sure that there are no checks in the Dolby Digital check box and all other check boxes. Figure 3: Supported Formats settings in the Realtek Digital Output Properties windowc01503049.gif NOTE: For most TVs to play back audio, the sample rate must be 48.0 KHz.
  9. Click OK to close the window.

Problem with acer aspire t180, SOUNDCARD don't work0.

If running XP:

Two things to check

Open Control Panel and select Sound and Audio. In the new window select the Audio tab and make sure your sound card is selected as the default playback device.

or

Open Computer management, click the plus sign by "Services and applications" and highlight "Services".
Scroll down to Windows audio and check that the service is started.

.Its also possible that a windows update caused this (sometimes malware or virus)

Hope this helps

Problem opening videos

Hi

Windows Media Player can't deal with some "compressed" video formats without special "codecs". A codec is a piece of software that allows a computer to encode/decode various video formats.

Please go here and download and install the free codec pack for Vista. That should sove your problems. :-)

No sound

When you reformated your computer, you got rid of all your drivers which Windows XP will not put on. You need your motherboard chipset driver disc.

Realtek Here is the link where you can find your driver.
If you can tell me the model of your realtek driver, I can help you more.
