For an engine to become hydrolocked requires fluid to enter one or more cylinders, and the fluid needs to be more volume than the combustion chamber allows when the piston is at its uppermost travel in the compression stroke. In other words your engine has locked up.--------your saying pressure hydro lock is fluid what is entering --gas --oil-coolant
Sorry you need a Toyota mechanic. Sounds like your computer is doing something strange like alarm mode with no sound. I would get it to Toyota dealer. Right now they will do whatever it takes to make you happy. Good luck!
Be sure that the back door is really closed. Close it quite hard and check. I've heared of others with this problem, and they had to close their back door harder...
I have the same car and the same problems. I think it may be a ground issue. Once the weather is a bit warmer, I will be checking the different connections. Does anyone else have any ideas.
There were some issues with ignition switches in those vehicles.It is easy to change and does not cost but about $30. Remove the column covers, unplug the switch, and depress the 2 white tabs holding it in place. Good Luck
the door locks are controlled by the body computer and one of the switches may be bad. When you pull the fuse you are clearing the computer codes and the locks work fine until that switch acts up. once the computer sets a code for a shorted or stuck switch all switch inputs are ignored until you pull the fuse and reset everything. Could also be a bad wire to the switch or a bad computer.
