Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera
When i switch my camera on it says Access and the lens keeps going in and out and then it tells me to turn the camera off and on again. i have tried this, but still not working. The battery is fully charged and I have tried takeing the memory card out and using without, but still the same.
It's a problem with the lens unit - stuck focus. Maybe sand or something. Contact your local Sony service center or if they ask too much, feel free to contact me at email@example.com
I work in a Sony service center.

The symptoms you describe sound very much like a failing battery. How old is your battery? Rechargeable batteries are only meant to last for a couple years, regardless of use.

This is a firmware problem that is common with many many digital cameras. It will have to be upgraded. The company will do this for $50
Otherwise you may be able to find a kit online and do it which would be hard to located
