No spare parts from logitech. you may have to try craigslist or ebay. logitech may take as a warranty replacement but you will have to send back the keyboard and so get a spare keyboard and mouse if that is the route you plan to go.

Need to know how to use my Logitech MX5500 keybaord with its special keys

I would suggest the first point would be to install the relevant drivers for your operating system, these can be found via the following link:'downloads''dd

If you select your operating system from the list, it will then provide the download details - this should then install the relevant software to configure the keyboard.

Hope this helps.

My LogiTech MX5500 keyboard keeps beeping me. Every time I get a new e mail maybe. How do I shut off the beep?

Yes, highly annoying. If you open the Setpoint software (mine was foldered under Programs/Logitech/Mouse and Keyboard), pick the My Keyboard option, go to the hammer and screwdriver icon on the left side, and deselect the box "play a sound" under "When I receive a new email."

Logitech mx 5500 keyboard has a broken leg. Required spare.

Best is to approach the Logitech support center or try the nearest computer service shop near to your place so as to get one from a condemed/scrapped keyboard .
Other wise the broken legs can be glued back easily with plastic welding using metal wire and glue.

How to restart my computer after sleep mode

Your Logitech cordless desktop MX 5500 will have a sleep mode button which when pressed, the system should start sensing the keyboard activity. In case if this is not happening, the hardware is failing to sense the port where Cordless Desktop is attached. Try to check if you have the apt driver installed and if the desktop supports this function from a cordless desktop. Is this product a branded one ? If yes, please check if then its better to consult the manufacturers help line with out trying for more options.

try to re-associate the devices with the usb. First press the button on the usb then the kb then the mouse, it should seek the devices and it may ask for you to manually bind them by clicking on a graphics like a chain.

Keys stop working

Sorry to inform you but the keyboard needs repair. I've been a wireless keyboards and mice user for years. I've been to this problem before. First I thought it was just the battery or the wireless dongle, until I sent the keyboard to the manufacturer for repair.

I would suggest to contact the manufacturer for repair if the keyboard is still under the warranty.

Have a great day!
