most error codes are to do with the main board or a switch board and ussually need to be replaced. If you have the manual for it they normally have the error codes and there meaning in them. If not in the manual you should ring your nearest repairer and give them the make model and error cdes and they can ussually tell you what it is from.

I looked through manual, here's what I found: the remote battery is CR2025. That however, doesn't solve your missing remote problem.
