How can i solve a problem in math?

Pay more attention in math class, do your daily homework or tutorials. If you do not understand the chapter or any math problems, just ask the math teacher directly. He or she is the best bet that can help you directly dealing with your situation.

Just don't forget "In any examinations, it is a test of what you don't know".

I am a sophomore in college and i am taking math for elementary teachers. Currently, we are applying "guess and test" method and I find myself struggling with, in particularly cryptorithms for example, ...

there is no easy way.....it's just a matter of trail and error and logic.....not helped by there sometimes being more than one answer.

Would always suggest starting on the left as this, as a number, cannot exceed those below it. Then next to try and identify the most reoccuring letter.

the use of multiple sketched grids also helps

There is a sequence and it is 2,8,18,32,50,72 what is the fiftyiest number

The pattern for this sequence is that the difference between one number and the next is four more than the difference between that number and the previous one.
For example:
8 - 2 = 6
18 - 8 = 10
32 - 18 = 14
50 - 32 = 18

So the sequence is:
2, 8, 18, 32, 50, 72, 98, 128, 162, 200, 242, 288, 338, 392, 450, 512, 578, 648, 722, 800, 882, 968, 1058, 1152, 1250, 1352, 1458, 1568, 1682, 1800, 1922, 2048, 2178, 2312, 2450, 2592, 2738, 2888, 3042, 3200, 3362, 3528, 3698, 3872, 4050, 4232, 4418, 4608, 4802, 5000, ...

So the 50th number in the sequence is 5000

Where is the fraction button on the ti 83 plus cac. look like

Hello,
There is no fraction button. Any division of two integers you do is represented as a decimal number. If you want your fraction to remain a fraction you enter it as follows
7[ / ] 19 [ MATH][1:ToFrac] [=] displays 7/19
If you want to convert a decimal number into a proper fraction press [MATH][1:ToFrac] .
Exemple 7/19 [ENTER] gives .36842105. If without doing anything else, you press [MATH][1:ToFrac] you recover 7/19.
There are limitations related to the number of decimal digits in the floating point number.
.3684 [MATH][1:ToFrac][=] gives 921/2500 but
.36842 [MATH][1:ToFrac][=] gives .36842 : it is not converted to fraction.

Hope it helps
