Question about Bosch 24 in. SGS4072 Free-standing Dishwasher

Open Question

No power to Bosch S9J1B dishwasher

Pressed the power button to reset and re-start the system but the machine would not switch on again. I have checked the fuse (hard wired into the kitchen units) and pressed the two washing cycles that should re-set the system but nothing. It is dead.

SOURCE: my bosch exxcel dishwasher will not drain after wash cycle

That is because the water level switch activated by the floating sensor is stuck.

You probably need to have the water level switch replaced.

SOURCE: Loud humming noise when dishwasher is filling up with water

your model is pretty new. just so you know your warrenty is 1 year parts and labor. 2 years on parts. it should not cost that much money.

there are two components that start before the circulation pump.(wash noise you hear)

first sounds you hear will be the drain pump. usually rattling noises if something is in it but it can make a hum noise if something is jamming the drain propeller up. which is accessible with a T20 torx driver. take the filters out and the mesh filter. and unscrew the screw in the base towards the left. pull out whatever is lodged.

the other humming sound can come from the next component that activates is the watervalve. make sure you dont have a kinked water intake line. otherwise its a bad valve. i have had to change a few of those water valves out already but not for a hum noise on your model. you have a new style water valve. when brands make new parts we get problems fast sometimes..

Opened dishwasher just as it filled up to put in another glass, now the dishwasher won't wash or drain. Power button won't cut off or reset cycles. Turned off breaker, but still stuck on same cycles

You don't mention what make/model of dishwasher. Some diswashers, like my Bosch, require a reset procedure to "kill" a cycle that you've already started. They don't like to have the power button pressed during the cycle. The procedure to reset varies by make and model. If you have the owner's manual, you may check in there for the procedure.

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher just hums when we start it.Its not starting and no water is filling up

Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You should NEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.

CL stays on

Generally, the reset buttons are marked with a small dot by them, there are usually two and they should be presses simultaneously while the machine is on for approx 5secs. (Should say 'reset' or 'cancel drain') The two buttons are usually separated by one of the other buttons.
Alternatively, the unit may reset by keeping the starting button pressed for 5 secs. (if it has a start button).
Hope this helps.

Bosch Dishwasher will not power on

I saw my repair man do the following, which you might try...
Open the door and simultaneously press & hold down the power button with the 2 buttons used on your model to "Cancel & Drain." If the unit comes on it now is in self-diagnosis mode. Release the buttons and close the door. The unit should start to fill with water. Press the power button to exit the mode.

Dishwasher switched itself off during cycle - no power now

It is possible that some of the pips have been washed down into the drain pump and jammed the impellor, follow the drain hose back to the pump underneath of the dishwasher make sure the d/washer is switched off at the power supply before you attempt this, if you have reasonable mechanical skill you should be able to remove front of pump to clean it.
