Swann Home Security System. Why does one of my security cameras have a Question Mark (?) on the screen and 'Swann Security Home System'?

Question edited to what I think you thought you were saying :>D
Question moved from Dishwashers to Home Security.

If the other cameras work, then the Hard Disc is fine, but that particular camera can't find it. Check the connections to it. If it is an IP Camera, re-establish it on the network. Help in the link and a link to Swann Support.

tip

Swann wireless cameras will not connect to the cloud after the recent update.

Uninstall the Swann app from your mobile device.
Use a pc or laptop and log into your network connections and navigate to wireless password settings and change the password for the network that your problem camera connects to. This will keep your camera from auto connecting. You will add them back later.
Restart your router. When the network is back online log in again , and confirm that cameras are no longer connected. You do not have to power the camera off.
NOTE: (You will have to repeat the following steps for each camera. Do not use the same qr code on more than one camera)
Open a browser window and navigate to the Swann cloud website. (https://www.swann-cloud.com) and log into your account.
Navigate to the camera tab and check to see if your cameras are in the camera list. Delete all non working cameras from the list and log out. (As a precaution, you should download any events that you want saved to prevent them from being removed. Or only remove one camera at a time when you are deleting cameras).
Reboot your pc or laptop and log back into the website and navigate back to the camera tab and select
Select the option you prefer. (Usually wifi unless your camera is plugged directly into your router wired option is useless)
Enter your wifi logon and password
You should now see the qr code with two options. Select for the old qr code. It should automatically show the highlighted and display a qr code.
Using your cell phone, open the camera and take a clear picture of the qr code, make sure that the picture of the qr code fills the screen so it isn't too small.
Locate the picture in your photo gallery (I recommend that you crop the picture so that only the qr code is visible)
NOTE: Do not log out of the Swann cloud website or close the qr code window from here, it must remain open. Leave the qr code on the screen.

I have just bought swann cctv cameras for my home And on the recorder the blue light is flashing is this normal ??

I too own a Swann security system. The flashing light indicates that one or more of your cameras has sensed movement and is recording images onto the hard drive. This is 100% normal and means everything is working. Use the mouse that came with your system and click on the house icon, this is where you tweak your system to do what you want. I've had mine for 5 years and with the exception of some camera failures it works great!

Find the model number, then Google search for a manual. Serial numbers are of no use when troubleshooting electronics.

PC Freezes

When the computer freezes is it just the mouse that freezes?  Can you navigate using the keyboard?  I would recommend running memtest 86, and prime 95, just to check your memory and processor respectively.  How frequent is the freezing?  Have you tried stopping a few of your larger processes?  Have you installed anything new recently?  Also I would try reseating your memory, and maybe having your power supply checked.  Doing these things will help limit it down some.
