HI there,

May I know if you have encountered any error message appear on the screen of your PC.?

Did you have installed the camera driver completely on your PC?

also;
Try first connecting the camera using a different data cable.

Hope this initial info helps.

Let me know for any further related assistance.

    Hi again,

on a second thought, connect the camera on a different PC, on this we will know if you have a problem on the software or into the device.

I have a Canon Powershot A630 that will not focus. I have it set on Auto and when I see the image, it is always blurry. I can't get the lens to focus. It goes in and out of focus and settles in bl

Hi!

Make sure your lens is clean and free of any smudges or debris.

Ensure that you are far enough away from your subject that the minimum focusing distance has been achieved

Most auto-focus systems use contrast to detect what needs to be sharp. If you are shooting something that is all the same color, the camera will probably not be able to focus.

Make sure there is plenty of light on the subject; even if to the naked eye it looks like there is light, the camera focus system will have a hard time detecting your subject if it is not extremely well lit.

Hope that helps!

My computer is not detecting my camera

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How to download videos from my camera to my computer

Dear Dcarres,
To start with, please install the software that came along with the camera.. ones the installation is successfully completed, Connect the camera to the computer using the USB cable provided along with the camera and the computer should automatically detect the camera and launch the software.
Even if the computer doesn't launch the software.. you can go to "My computer" and you should be able to find a new drive letter along with your C,D and CD drive..
Double click on the new drive letter and go through the folders, you should be able to find the images in there.. Copy those images from that drive and paste them in "My Documents --> My pictures" or to any other location.
Once copy is done, left click on the green arrow icon in the system trey, next to time and select option "Safely remove the device" .. now you can unplug the camera.

Please let me know if that helps.

Regards,
Srinivas
