Question about San d Digger

I have an old Ford 550 digger clutch failure

I have an old Ford 550 digger which has just had a hose replaced on the backhoe. On restarting the backhoe now works but I have lost operation of the clutch and can't therefore drive the digger with out crashing the gearbox. A warning light has illuminated to the right of the battery warning light. Does anyone know what this light is indicating. I don't recognise the icon. I suspect it is indicating low hydraulic fluid. Does this effect the clutch operation too?

If its a hydraulic clutch & conneted to the same system & its low on fluid then that will be your problem
just top it up & try it you may have to bleed out the system of air if it doesnt work!

Can you replace the push rod on the clutch slave with a longer one, I have a bent clutch fork.

This is a hard question to answer because you are driving with a damaged part and any Certified Mechanic would tell you that the clutch fork may be torn with metal failure.
There should be some adjustment, if not, you would first need to determine what length the rod would need to be to work.
Thinking "outside the box" there have to be alternate rods for trucks with lift kits. Raising the body off the frame must make changes to clutch components necessary. You may find what you want from businesses dealing with 4x4's and lift kits.

Truck has been running great, turned truck off , restarted it to notice a rough idle then check engine light came on, i had superchips flashpaq on truck ,got to repair shop had to re install ford stock file...

Are we talking about a 7.3L diesel? If so, I have seen all kinds of trouble started by people flashing their computers with superchips. You are better off with te OEM files in your computer. As for the injector, If we are in fact talking about a 7.3L, you probably need to replace your valve cover gasket. It contains the electrical wiring for the injectors. They like to burn at the connector going into the gasket. Not a cheap fix, either. (About $200 for parts)
