Window motors sounds

It sounds like the power locks are making the noise to me. First the power going to the window gets shut off when you shut off the key. Second the window will not make noise unless the cable for the window regulator is broke, then the window will go down and stay down or up and wont go much of anywhere. Try to hold the power lock button and listen for the same noise. Most of the time the one of the switches go bad and keep trying to lock the car. Its usually the one that wont lock or unlock.

Hi, I have a HP Pavillion a1253w and it will not boot it started with some bug that got around my norton I reinstalled norton but then it stopped going past windows boot screen, now it will not shut down...

Hi inick798...

To remove a virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download, install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans, worms, etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!

My sister's computer starts up and quits. do you think she has a virus

Hi,
if the computer starts and then shuts down, the problem could be a virus or a bad harddrive.
Power off the system and then restart , tap the F8 key couple of times as soon as the computer starts . Select safe mode with networking, check if the computer is able to start in safe mode or not . If the computer is not starting in safe mode aswell. its time to reformat the computer . Install windows on it again

Thanks

We downloaded a programme called Snowflake and the Macbook pro froze and since we are not able to get past a snowflake screen since rebooting. We have tried everything can you advice how to troublshoot...

You need to start up in osx safe mode, and delete the application.
To start up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot), do this:
  1. Be sure the computer is shut down.
  2. Press the power button.
  3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
  4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
It takes quite a while to start up.

Computer will not boot.

Hi....it looks like you may have a bios virus, if this is the case the unusual symptoms you describe are what I have seen before. Your only option is to to reset the bios chip at its jumpers. You need to open the computer up find the bios chip, and beside it are a set of jumpers....lift the jumper off and leave it off for at least a minute....replace the jumper as it was , close the computer and reboot. This resets the computer to factory defaults which you can change in the bios setup at any time prior to bootup.

After a power surge it comes up with a C0501 malfunction code and shuts itself down

The C501 code is to do with the fuser section not heating up in a given period of time.

Best guess would be that the surge blew the thermal fuse in the fuser and the lamp in not coming on.
This will nivolve taking the fuser apart, if you are not so inclined, it might be time to Call your local Tech.

Emachine t5026 not power on. replaced psu.

I would test the memory. Also I think some computers will shut down if the fan on top of the CPU quits working. Or maybe one of the other fans or the Hard Drive quit and is drawing too much juice causing the PSU to shut down. It sounds like something may be grounding.

Signing out problem

To turn off, hold down power button (may take "long" time--6-8seconds). It WILL shut down.

If recurring problem, check setup settings for Power switch and lid options--turn off, go into standby, etc.

Computer shuts down.

Hello;

So i guess that the PSU is good. As i diagnose of what you have said, i digested a conclusion that when the computer shutdown when application run. there a problem conflicting the application to another application or such an application trigering the system to shutdown.

Some causes of this problem are:

The system is infected by known and unknown virus
The driver of the system are not properly installed
The application program committed an errors trigering the system to shutdown.

Possible solutions:

1. Scan you system with a potent anti virus
2. Remove the installed driver of the sytem and reinstall it after restarting
3. Unistall the application that causes shutdown problem and you can reinstall it after restarting.
4. remove newly installed hardware or install the correct driver of the hardware.

Note in scanning your system with antivirus you should scan it it safemode.
