Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

Gas broiler works, but the regular oven works intermittently, can you explain how this can happen.

The ignitor for the oven could be going bad and causing the oven valve to open intermittently. I see this often. Or the oven valve could be going bad... but the usual suspect is the ignitor.

The igniters on my Five Star TPN535-BGSW Dual Fuel Kitchen Range don't stop after the burner has ignited. This is a long time intermittent problem that effects the most used burners but not the least used....

Most likely one of these two causes:

1. Corrosion or build up on one of the metal surfaces that provide a path to chassis ground from the ignitor through the burner and frame back to the chassis ground connection to the spark module.

2. An intermittent spark ignitor wire or corroded connection to the ignitors.

There is a 3rd possibility if the range has been worked on ...

Turn on all the burners, if the sparking stops then the problem is that two or more of the ignitor wires have been swapped between burners.

Weak spark on my gas fire ignitor (pietzo?)

Piezo igniters wear out, they have to be replaced. A weak or intermittent spark could mean that your's is going out. The conditon of the electrode, wire and sometimes the collection box can also cause a weak or intermittent spark.

Ignitors Do Not Spark

If one of your burner heating elements works only intermittently, it's probably because of worn or bad contacts in the receptacle that the element plugs into. On most electric ranges, you can remove the element by lifting it up several inches and firmly pulling it away from its attachment (receptacle). Read your owner's manual to learn the correct technique for your range.

If, after removing the element, you see that the ends of the element that were plugged in are pitted, corroded, burned, scarred, or rusted, replace both the element and the receptacle.

Spark ignitors on gas stovetop wont stop sparking

Make sure yo haven't spilled liquid on the ignitor becuase this will cuase all ignitors to spark constantly. If all is dry, the spark module must be replaced.

Gas Range, trouble igniting

It is likely that the ignitor needs to be replaced. If the range does not sense the correct amount of resitance in the ignitor it turns the gas valve off. When the ignitor is starting to fail the problem is intermittent, so the range turns on and off as you have described.

Heater won't ignite when heater is turn on.

See if the spark will arc across the area where the pilot flame is. It should cross the flame. Adjust the spark if possible.
